After 9/11 "let's bomb South America?"

I don't know if this was posted here, was reported in Newsweek, that right after the attack someone suggested to catch the terrorists off guard by not going to Afghanistan but to Africa or South America or... Iraq.

I was reading an old Newsweek today and came across that comment. It was Iraq that he proposed to get them off-guard. The unnamed source also said that people at the Pentagon considered Mr. Feith to be the dumbest man on the planet.

And then, When the Empire of Mexico attacked us in Texas, we promptly launched a assault on Russia.

And of course, when British Warships harrassed our shipping, we declared war on Prussia.

Classic misdirections; we always attack some third party and not the ones who attacked us.
