Another stupid online poll. "Do you think Bruce Springsteen and the other artists in the Vote for Change series will suffer any economic backlash for their political views?" Where's the response that says, "The divisive RepubliCON party will do everything they can to make the artists suffer economic backlash but it won't work??"

That's my vote.

I wish you so-called journalists would work on practicing journalism.

14. How many people use politics to determine a purchase anyway?

I'm willing to bet that an overwhelming majority of the public doesn't care one way or another where actors, artists, or musicians stand politically.

Of the minority that do care, I'm willing to bet that their decision to boycott or support an artist because of their views doesn't reflect that deeply into the artist's revenue.

I admit however that it would have been interesting to see how Dixie Chicks concerts would have been affected had the shows not already been sold out prior to them making the statement about Bush.

I don't think the end result would have been that much different.

As I was coming back from lunch, I heard "Hurts so good" by John Cougar/Mellencamp/whatever on a Clear Channel station from Akron.

Guess nobody got the memo.

Of course, somebody who wasn't paying attention on 98.5 (WNCX - Howard Stern in the morning) was kinda excited at the prospect of RW shill Ted Nugent being on a ballot instead of Mike Ditka.
