"Saudi Ambassador Responds to Moore Film"
LONDON (AP) - Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Britain on Wednesday responded to some of the claims made in Michael Moore's film "Fahrenheit 9/11" and in a book about the Bush family's relationship with Saudis going back to the 1970s.

The film and the book, "House of Bush, House of Saud," by Craig Unger, say the U.S. government helped 140 Saudis leave the United States on Sept. 13, 2001 - two dozen of whom were relatives of Osama bin Laden. Prince Turki al-Faisal, the Saudi ambassador to London and a nephew of Crown Prince Abdullah, said there was nothing improper about the departures.

The Saudis "were properly vetted by the FBI, nobody left without being questioned, nobody left without permission and nobody left without any protocol being involved," al-Faisal told British Broadcasting Corp. radio.

In his film, Moore claims that the Bush administration helped a number of Saudi princes and members of the bin Laden family to flee the United States at a time when American airspace had been closed to all commercial traffic.

1. Well sure, that's just what Moore said.
"nobody left without being questioned"

In his interview with Unger, Moore basically summarizes like that. A check of the passport, a brief exit interview, and away they go. THAT'S the problem. No one bothered to ask them if they had had any contact with UBL or ideas where he might be, etc.

The Saudis have picked up the "Bush dodge" - deny something which your accuser never said.

2. A different headline could have read...
"Official Saudi mouthpiece paid to say whatever his handlers tell him to."

5. Too lazy to click the link
Did the Saudi ambassador explain why his embassy receives Secret Service protection? That's in the documentary, and I would think it would be a topic on which the ambassador could expound quite knowledgeably.

But let me guess: Nary a peep.

6. They must be feeling the heat, if the ambassador feels
it's necessary to speak out like this.

Cool.

7. In F-9/11 they showed a manifest with Saudis on it for the 13th....
so where is the idea that none left while the flying ban was on?

8. So many miss the point, even if the Saudi's left on the up and up...
If my brother was involved with a killing, especially one resulting in 3000+ deaths, collapse of two landmark skyscrapers, an attack on the Pentagon, closing of US airspace, destabilizing the financial system, and at least $2 trillion dollars cost to the economy (I am sure it is higher) as well as the after effects of wars, etc.

Well.... I would expect to be held and grilled on everything I know for days on end. Yet, these people just fly away with barely a question a few days later, or, A.S.A.P!

Of course the Bush-Saud connection allowed this to happen. For that reason alone, impeachment on grounds of treason should have been bought forward. Instead the lapdog media ignores the story to this day, while it was covered up for a year and a half and those who bought it forward were called "conspiracy nuts".

Too many stupid sheep in this country!

9. And another point--
--at least one of those guys had foreknowledge of 9-11 (when it was going to happen, not what). That makes anyone who let him leave an accessory after the fact.
