Was driving in the car on the way to Lancaster, PA today when I heard a sort of public announcement on the radio. I don't know why but my curiosity was alerted that this might be a scare scam tactic by the Pharmaceutical Industry. Maybe it was because the voice-over was someone who claimed to be someone representing the "Seniors Coalition". Maybe it was the way they tried to pass it off as some sort of public announcement in order to play off of the elderly's trust in authority. In any case, what confirmed it for me that it was a "front organization" for those scumbag CEO's of the Drug industry is that the voice-over started harping on the possiblity that drugs purchased out of the country (an obvious inference to Canada) may not be produced with the same quality of production that the good ole FDA insures in America. Obviously trying to scare some seniors into not buying their drugs from mail-order businesses in Canada because drugs are cheaper in Canada. Also seen a report last night, can't remember where, that the drug industry is limiting there supplies of certain drugs to different parts of Canada. It goes something like this...They know British Columbia has X-number of people so there is no reason for, lets say Pfizer to supply Pharmacy's there with an over-abundance of Mevachor because A) your population numbers are too small to justify that many pills and B) mail-order pharmacies are selling them to cash-strapped seniors in the U.S. who can't afford to pay the price charged at home. Which of course forces seniors to pay more for there drugs and make the greedy drug companies richer.
