The Framers of the Constitution were wise to create a "recall" clause in the Constitution, but they never anticipated a person could become president without being elected, outside of the vice president having to step in should the president become incapacitated. (Though some would say that applied to Bush the moment he took the oath.)
It's time to amend the Constitution so that both
presidents-elect AND
presidents-select can be recalled. We must never allow these kinds of situations to arise again!
(Other measures we should consider: Repealing the gif tax so we can post images without this unfair burden the hand. Switching from color codes to smoke signals for the benefit of naive Americans whose land we stole. And finally, pulling out of NATO and joining the Friar's Club.)
