Has anyone seen a count of how many times * said "Duty" in Unity speech?
Edited on Sat Aug-07-04 08:01 PM by KzooDem
I finally had a chance to watch the recording of the C-Span rerun of Bush's breathtakingly awful performance at the Unity meeting yesterday.

I was amazed at how much I was hearing the words "duty" or "solemn duty." I swear, it seemed like he worked those words into nearly every other sentence.

Has anyone seen a content analysis of his comments that determine how many times he repeated these words? If not, I'll go through and listen to it again tonight and make a count and post it.

Just want to avoid doing that, though, if someone else has already done so.

2. * wouldn't know what duty was
if it bit him in the ass. If I were a soldier or a veteran, I'd be spitting mad at such a spectacle.

Meanwhile, back at the Kennebunkport compound...

6. Something I've noticed about Bush's speeches....
Whenever Bush gives a speech, it is patently obvious that he has been given a "word of the day" to work into every sentence as many times as possible. This makes for incredibly bizarre listening........he talks around in circles, repeating the word of the day by sticking it into all sorts of mangled phrases and sentences with seeming disregard for actually saying something intelligible. I can no longer even listen to the man, save for brief snippets. As soon as I figure out the word of the day, I tune out.

9. One's about all he can handle.
He gets confused, starts spouting Bushisms and smoke pours out of his head.

5. It's a subliminable message
To counter Kerry's "I'm reporting for duty" in his convention speech. By associating Bush with the word "duty" they hope your subconcious will make you doubt the fact that he was AWOL. It's the same thing they did by putting Al Qaida and Iraq in the same sentence a hundred times before he started the war, but being careful to never actually explict say they were cooperating. He's just trying to mindfuck the gullible masses again.

8. Good analysis
I just wish Kerry would talk about actual dog doody so that Georgie would have to actually SAY "doody" instead of mispronouncing "duty."

:P
