There is dialogue now about the terror alerts. It took just one man.

So far, I have not heard or seen any other prominent Democrat defend him on it. Sometimes it just takes one person to keep speaking what others are thinking. They are now having to defend their alerts. Just one person can make a difference.

2. Yes, but on TV and in print the DNC/DLC distance from him.

Independent writers, etc. have done pretty well, but not the party.

3. Howard is a forward thinker - that's why he freaks out the folks

bringing up the rear like right wing nuts/freepers.
They can't even accept the world as it is today let alone 10 or 20 years from now. Another forward thinker who was terribly maligned was Jerry Brown. I heard his mother once say he was "25 years ahead of everyone else" - same with Howard.

5. Dean has been a breath of fresh air

He has shaped this election even if he is not a candidate. He forced people to look at the issues that really mean something instead of just trying to make everyone like him. As a Vermonter, I am so proud of both he and Jim Jeffords who listened to his conscience and left the Republican Party after a lifetime of being one.

We're pretty stubborn and independent folks up here.
