Yes, I admit I LOVE PAUL KRUGMAN!!!
(As an aside, I believe he was also in the Reagan administration)

He gives Bill the rope and lets him hang himself with it.

And I did think he was a bit nervous about O'Reilly coming at him physically. O'Reilly looked like every stupid schoolyard bully you've ever heard about or witnessed. When name-calling didn't work, he went for physical intimidation. Krugman, to his credit, stuck with facts and wit, and didn't cave at all to the O'Reilly act.

As much as it will raise my blood pressure I want to see how calm Krugman was. It seems when guys like O'Rielly getting all worked up, the calmer you stay, the more worked up they get.

Wind him up.

A really good way to deal with bullies like that is to publicly make them lose control (keeping in mind personal safety). Make him explode with rage at losing an argument.

O'Reilly is such a huge, smarmy, whiny bully. He has ZERO facts, all snide innuendo and outrageous, baseless claims. It's really incredible to watch.

but O'Reilly is monopolizing the debate. Krugman needed to do a little screaming here. He should've at least said, "Shut up Bill".

I wish I got AAR here in CT -- won't be by the computer tomorrow afternoon.

I'm not able to listen to Al during the day because of work. I've been dying to hear what he said about O'Rielly.

Not that he needs them, but he should get some tips from Eric Alterman before doing that show! God, would I love to see Eric and Paul gang up on one of these guys.
