My concern is not that Porter Goss will be confirmed, but that he will be
permitted to stay on after Democrats win in November. That concerns me more than a short partisan stint at the CIA. Does anyone else have that concern? Democrats may feel charitable after the election and out of generosity will let the Bush stooge stay on. That would be a mistake, in my opinion. I wish I had more confidence in my Party. <sigh>

17. Simple. Order that no more briefings will be given to former presidents
because the info is too valuable to risk discovery for "vanity" briefings. Shortly thereafter, goss will brief either or both bush*s, or just quit.

3. Charitable?
This is something I don't think you have to worry about. Kerry may appoint some token Republicans, but none as partisan/ideological as Goss. I have the utmost confidence in that.

5. Oh! A Yalie? From Florida? Who would have guessed???
And I bet he's Skull & Bones, to boot. And.. of course, a close friend of the Bush syndicate. What's with Florida? I'm convinced that is the center of our secret government.. for decades.

6. The Bushes want to continue controlling the intelligence agencies...
even when they are not in power. Does anyone really trust Poppy Bush?

10. AND control Florida
Goss knows where the bodies are buried. He put more than a few of them there himself. He knows Rudi Dekkers and the gents who trained Atta and the rest of the Saudis for 9-11.

Even after Jeb leaves to try to become Emperor, even IF a Democratic Imperial Gouvernor is allowed in, Goss will continue to rule Florida for the Busheviks through the usual suspects that can be found in Totalitarian Nations from Syria to Imperial Amerika.

Bad times for all of us under the gentle ministrations of the murderous Goss.

16. I disagree
Those who are even remotely connected with the Bush Criminal Empire political machine are not eminently qualified to do anything except committ treason against the United States of America, which they have consistently done since Prescott Bush began funding Hitler in 1924.

The CIA was never about the national security of the US, but in reality about the "need" to keep what Ike Eisenhower labelled as "the military industrial complex" in business. How did the USSR go from an ally in WWII to an arch enemy nearly overnight? And how did this rag tag band of CIA created terrorists originally named the Mujahadeen, but now called "Al Qaeda" go from an asset to a "threat to our very survival"?

In both cases, the answer is simple. When no enemy naturally existed, one had to be created, in order to keep the defense contractors rich.

It's time their fascist machine was completely destroyed, and that includes the CIA and their partners in crime Mossad, and sub-contracting agencies like the Pakistani ISI, etc.

Goss is BCE all the way. He should neither be in the CIA or the Congress, but rather in federal prison, along with the rest of those fucking cowards.

7. Porter Goss, close to Dick Cheney, will be Bush stooge, like Tenet...
The Democrats must try to block his confirmation. Goss is on record as saying he would like to slow down the process of reforming the intelligence community. He would be a terrible choice to lead the CIA; a totally partisan, political choice.

Do you really think he would support the idea of a strong and accountable NDI (National Director of Intelligence) who had budget authority?

11. Haven't you noticed - our Senators usually take care of fellow Senators.
Take care of - as in support them no matter what.

It's too much of a club at times.

I hope I'm wrong.

the Senators are much more transparent in their crossing over in support.
