Be nice to yourself and catch the Daily Show repeat today
Edited on Tue Aug-10-04 12:08 PM by party_line
...if you didn't see it last night.

-Decimating take-down of swift boogies
-Colbert rounds up an adorable rainbow panel at the convention "unity" is the joke, but the clean-up is that NONE will be heard at the RNC
-Bill Clinton

So watch it! It's a joy thing.

edit-Colbert!

4. "Are you a Ghandi Indian or a Sitting Bull Indian?"
Man, I almost wet my pants when he said that, but then he tops himself. She replies, "I'm a Ghandi India" and he says "Great, because I already have a squaw."

5. Big Dawg was so cool
Loved the bit about GOP using attack tactics and Clinton saying they can throw him into "that briar patch" any time, cuz then he can come out swinging and it is self defense to their 'going negative' but he can really blast 'em.

Said we MUST go at them each and every time the misrepresent a DEM position or record of any DEM candidate.

WOOOOO HOOOOO! Gotta love the Big Dawg! Breaks their hearts without breaking a sweat! And his wife ain't too bad either!
:7 and :toast: to Hillary. You go, girl!

And every time a winger says it is OK for Keyes to suddenly be from Illinois because it was what 'Hillary did'; remind them she resided in NY a lot longer than just barely getting residency under the wire like Keyes, and Cheney, for that matter.

9. Clinton was good
he came off as very classy and not wanting to label his political opponents as bad people. And also pointed out that when people play fair or think, the Democrats (or Clinton) always win.

But I was frustrated that although he and John danced around the issue, Clinton never really addressed the media and the way they aid Republicans. He made it sound like they choose to destroy one candidate in every election cycle, because they like to exercise their power, but it would be good for someone to point out that the chosen victim is invariably the Democrat.

11. I'd say he was great!
Makes me so mad we have a total moran running the country. The Big Dawg really took the gloves off but he was so thoughtful and charming...it was just amazing.
