5. A doozy.
Gay rape and blackmail. Sex harrassment claims by a male aid, who was widely rumored to be his lover for years.

N.J. Governor to Resign, Source Says

JOHN P. McALPIN

Associated Press

TRENTON, N.J. - Gov. James E. McGreevey will announce his resignation Thursday, a longtime friend and political adviser has told The Associated Press.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, was one of several advisers and staff members who met with McGreevey throughout the afternoon to discuss his political future.

"He's made up his mind," the source said, just before the governor was to attend an afternoon news conference.

McGreevey, the state's 51st governor, took office 2 1/2 years ago, and despite inheriting a $5 billion budget deficit, he steadfastly refused to boost income taxes for most New Jerseyans, instead raising taxes on millionaires, casinos and cigarettes.

12. Kerry is not gay, he has not been accused of rape. Wasn't there
a conservative governor who had to quit for robbery and accepting/requiring bribes? All parties have people, and people are imperfect. This does not sound good: rape and harassment is bad for homosexuals and heterosexuals... and because there are more heterosexuals than homosexuals it happens more in the heterosexual population.

20. Did he admit any kind of investigation into sexual harrassment?
otherwise if he is just announcing he is gay--why should he resign?
