MSRNC switches headlines to whore for the GOP
Edited on Thu Aug-12-04 07:06 PM by ann_coulter_is_a_man
this piece, originally titled "Can the democrats take back the senate?" appeared this morning. the original headline can still be seen in the link to it on www.msn.com

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5674000/?GT1=4529

strangely enough, as the day went on, they decided "Can Republicans hold on to the Senate?" was a more fitting title

maybe i'm making too much of this, but i just wanted to bring it to your attention

2. au contraire mon frere
it shows the tide turning. the first head line has the dems in the difficult position of taking back the senate. the second headline shows repuke weakness, ie can these guys hold on...they are in trouble and going down

3. I like the first headline better.
The first headline encourages people to root for the Democrats to win the Senate, and the second headline encourages people to root for the Republicans to maintain the Senate.

4. I agree
"Can Democrats Take Back the Senate?" makes it sound like a long shot for the Dems. "Can Republicans hold on to the senate?" makes it sound like Republicans are losing power.

7. Not necessarily
The latter headline makes the Republicans look like they're weak.. The first headline makes the Democrats the protagonists, but it sounds like the goal of a Democratic senate takeover is a long shot. The second headline puts the Republicans on the defensive.

6. Reading that Article
I think we'll win the Senate. I believe we can keep at least three of the south seats. With Bowles, Lincoln, and John. And I think Obama, Salazaar, and Knowles can win. I feel confident
