What do you fear more: Bush* or Terrorism?

- Terrorism killed 3000 innocent people on 9-11. Bush's response was to torture, maim and kill tens of thousands of innocent people. Does it matter if the terrorists had bad intentions and Bush's* intentions were 'good'? The innocent people are just as dead whether they're killed by a bad terrorist or righteous bomb.

- Although 'good' Americans won't say it out loud...the terrorists have already won. They won't have to launch another attack to attain their goal...they've already accomplished what they were after: perpetual war and fear and loss of freedom in the United States.

- Terrorists must love our free speech zones, shadow government and patriot acts. They knew they could never physically destroy America...but now they watch with satisfaction as we destroy ourselves and our democracy with draconian responses to their terrorism. Perhaps that was their intent all along?

- I submit that Bush* & Gang are far more dangerous than the terrorists because they have become a willing instrument of terrorism. Terrorists knew they didn't need large armies or weapons of mass destruction to defeat us. All they needed was to instill an atmosphere of fear and let Bush* and the PNAC gang do the rest.

2. That's an easy one. I fear Bush.
Terrorism has always been a part of human society. It was not invented on 9/11 and won't go away no matter what we do.

Bush on the other hand is a clear and present danger that can be eliminated.

9. And please note that there's no public debate about the root CAUSE...
...of terrorism? It seems Americans have accepted the 'they hate us for our freedom' rhetoric instead of complaining about their loss of freedom at the hands of the Bushies.

4. I left that out of the equation...
...but it's clear that Bush* is PLAYING into the terrorist's hands. He's doing their bidding...especially when he covers up the direct connection between his Saudi friends and the financing of terrorist acts.

5. One is powerless without the other.
They both belong to the class which profits from these wars, and live in perfect symbiosis. The rest of us -- on both "sides" -- are who's getting fucked.

6. I agree, Bush is much worse . . .
He lied to get where he is & has taken something good & decent (democracy) & preverted it for his personal gain. I definitely fear the terrorists in the White House more!

15. well said
I fear Bush more, he has a kind of global influence that the terrorists don't have: to pervert every social institution that the US as we have known it rests on.

8. bush* more a threat to America
terrorist hit a few times. bushco hits us all 24/7 and uses the terrorists as an excuse for it. He does what bin Laden wants AND what Cheney wants.

We are less safe and less American now. He has made up corporate serfs. He has made our military personnel the private security force of corporations who do not answer to the families of those in the military.

He is the evil front man of the most evil force working against American democracy.

And Cheney is the head of the monster.

10. The American media has helped with the disconnect...
...when Bush* says that America is safer and then warns of an impending attack.

- I believe Bush* and Company are quite aware that their response to terrorist is provoking more terrorism and unrest around the world. That was THEIR goal all along.

Bush puts on his "Aw shucks, I'm jes a good'ole boy" routine, while putting his cronies and war profits ahead of human life.

17. Bush* and Terrorists use FEAR to accomplish their goals...
- Bush's* goal is to turn America into a totalitarian state. The terrorists like this idea because it causes Americans to hate themselves for their freedom.

18. Bush
The AWOL Wanna-be Emperor has done far more damage than any terrorist could ever hope to accomplish. Bush is a disgusting sick little man who is trying to use the fear of terrorism for political gain and by doing so he magnifying the effect of the terrorism so he is himself a terrorist.
