Why has no one asked why Jebbie failed to evacuate ALL of the....
...low-lying west Florida coastline south of Tampa-St. Pete? That should have been a mandatory order as soon as Charley left the Cuban coastline. Anybody with half a brain knows that despite recent advances in weather forecasting, hurricanes are not totally predictable as to where they are going to go.

IMHO, JEB Bush is responsible for most, if not all, of the loss of life along the path of Hurricane Charley.

Why is this question not being asked by ANYONE at all?

3. Apparently
The lessons of Andrew were not taught to him. In a storm of that magnitude mobile parks don't stand a chance. They will always be the first to get destroyed. The death toll is at 15 now but I wouldn't hold my breath to that lasting the night. When over 2 dozen morticians are called in it's really serious. Charlotte county has been devasted beyond belief but the lives could've been saved had they been evacuated to the nearest shelters.

8. I heard that there are 31 trailer parks
in the devastated area. one has over 1200 trailers. they haven't begun to search all of them yet.

no, it's not likely that 15 dead will be anywhere close to the final toll... grim. much of the population there is elderly/retired.

7. That's true
But I seriously doubt they knew the danger they were in. The local media in Florida is rediculously bad. I'll give them the benifit of the doubt that they probably thought the worst would hit north of them in Tampa but once it became obviously clear that the storm was headed straight for em they had plenty of time to reach shelters and I don't think enough was done to let them know that. But we'll see.

9. You must either live up north, or off the coast...
because if they tried to evacuate anymore then the 2 million they attempted, there would have been a couple of million people sitting in cars on the interstate when the hurricane hit.

This one isn't the fault of Jeb guys, last year we got hit HARD by Isabelle and I didn't think to blame Mark Warner.

10. Actually I live in Perrine
And I was here for hurricane Andrew so I know what it's like to go through one of these things. I also know the evacuation efforts on behalf of the state are pathetic. The people of Charlotte county had well over 90 minutes to seek shelter. Plenty of time for those living in those trailer parks to go to a designated shelter. The national guard should've gone to those areas and knocked on doors but instead they are in Iraq. Go figure.
