Weather of Mass Distraction
Edited on Sun Aug-15-04 02:15 AM by Lori Price CLG
Weather of Mass Distraction: Disingenuous Dictator Bush absorbs precious Florida resources in order to visit (campaign in) the hurricane-ravaged swing state. (legitgov.org's comment)

Florida's devastation is Bush's opportunity --Now that Hurricane Charley has swept through Florida, it's a safe bet President (sic) Bush will sweep in. Natural calamities present political opportunity, and many crucial electoral votes are in the path of Charley's howling winds.

Bush swiftly issued a disaster declaration to expedite federal aid as Charley tore into the Florida Gulf Coast on Friday. He was acting on a request that had come from his brother Jeb, the governor, even before the ferocious storm made landfall. The president (sic) was expected to visit the area in the aftermath.

1. thats true....
Dictator Bush has waged an undeclared war against Mother Nature and this is his second 9/11...watch for Bush to capitalize on this tragic event by declaring Nature an enemy of America and declaring a war against weather...

8. The Bush dictatorship is acclimating people to the idea...
of having a FEMA/National Guard presence 24/7, under perpetual curfew, so that the people would 'accept' martial law when Homeland Suckyourity's phony Code Red alert is implemented as the elections approach.

2. and Earl's lurking out there . . .
apparently there's another hurricane (two, actually) that could get dangerous later this week . . . maybe Rove scheduled a whole series of 'em from now through the election? . . .

3. You appear to overlook
the possible connections between scarey storms and terrorism. Saddam was working on weather-making machines, and the British government has provided us with proof that these Weather of Mass Destruction components were moved into Iran just before the successful invasion there. I don't think we can sit back like the democrats are saying, and allow these hurricanes to become a growing threat. Invade Iran today!

6. One of the best darned cartoons ever......
I think Bullwinkle had better writers than this administration does! To be honest, I borrowed the idea from an old Underdog cartoon, where Simon Bar Sinister (who resembles Cheney so much) wanted to be the most powerful person in the whole wide world ...... gosh, if that's not an example of cartoon prophecy, nothing is.

4. Bush will use the tragedy to get votes
He'll go down there pretend to comfort the people and promise relief. Then next month he'll use it all in his ads.

7. To the contrary, this will undo him.
There is no National Guard to help these people. His Iraq policy has put our country at risk. Pretty hard to talk yourself out of this problem.

Even the media will have to acknowledge this is a day or two.
