Exchange I had with a really sick freeper.
I like to go play at POGO.com every now and then. So today to kill some time while I waited for my partner to show up online I decided to go play a little.

Anyway while I was playing the game I had chosen, I began to read the actual chat that was taking place. There was this guy there, (obviously a freeper) with the shit he was spewing forth.

Anyway he was telling the people that 9/11 happened because the Muslims are trying to push their faith and religion onto America. And that the whole world had been pushing their beliefs onto America for years. So I asked howcome he thought this? No reply.

Next thing he says that Saddam was responsible for 9/11 and that WMD were found in Iraq. So I asked him how he thought Saddam was responsible for 9/11 and where are the media reports about WMD being found in Iraq? Again no response.

Next thing he starts on about queers and reckons that if the whole world hadn't accepted queers and given us our rights (I am thinking what rights? We still don't have them all buddy) that queers wouldn't exist in the USA. So I ask him how he can honestly believe that shit. With that he attacked me calling me some rather disturbing names, so I figured it was time to leave.

I just couldn't believe the shit I was seeing. Is this the mindset of all those stupid idiots who are going to vote for Bush* in the next election?

1. No, it's NOT the mindset of all those who are going to vote for Bush!

Most of them aren't nearly as well-reasoned as that guy! ;)

2. I love that. "Give us our rights."
Funny how people can spend a lifetime trying to acquire what they were born with.

3. Neither Queers, nor Women seem to have rights
Isn't it frustrating to run into so many stupid fucks like that? Unfortunately, between the uninformed and the unformed, it's like an uphill battle. I'm not too surprised that you got no response from the asshole that was playing the game you were on. From what I've seen, usually those people are only trying to pick up some other shallow stupid %$#@ by pretending to be what they are not. So if you confront them with something beyond "age, sex, location" then you may be confusing them. Besides, you had something of substance to say, and that intimidates those who have no substance.

7. Sappho is fine...
...she has been busy prepairing for a trip to Melbourne to see me.

Basically an annonymous benefactor is helping her to make the trip here by paying for everything, otherwise we still wouldn't being seeing each other. Mind you, we haven't seen each other in almost a year now so we are both really looking forward to it.

The thing neither of us are looking forward to is after a wonderful month together we have to once again go to the airport and say our "laters". (We refuse to say goodbye.) That is always the hardest part of the trip. I will end up crying all the way home (hour and a half drive) from the airport, and most likely continue crying for the rest of the day.

Anyway, I dare say she will be around somewhere soon enough to say solong for a month. :)

6. A Really Sick FReeper? In POGO? No Way
I don't believe it. I never run into FReepers in Pogo. Ever.

OK, sarcasm off.

If anyone has POGO, I am "IAmHydrogen911". Drop me a line, and identify yourself....

10. Why is it that the conservatives always go into chat rooms
and spew this crap? I've never seen a liberal do it, but it's common place for conservatives.

12. Okay, this is what I don't get. . .
and I actually have friends who spout similar stuff...

If the Muslim (i.e. Islamic) faith is so determined to destroy Christianity, if they are our avowed enemies, why in the world would we want to spend a billion dollars a week, not to mention the lives of our servicemen/women, to "rescue" them from Saddam?

There's a real disconnect there, if ya see what I mean. The same people who say Muslims are dedicated to destroying us also insist that we had to go to Iraq to save them (the mass graves, etc.)

I'd say ya "can't have it both ways, buster."

14. One at work told me this during the bombing of Iraq
Edited on Sun Aug-24-03 02:34 AM by Woodstock
I was saying, we should have let the inspections work, and gone through the UN if we did anything like this, and that the rest of the world hates us, and this will make terrorism worse - you know, the usual stuff reasonable people were saying.

He said, "Who cares about the rest of the world? We rule the world. If they don't like what we do, tough luck. It's the rule of the jungle." Then he said he had heard the audio from the invasion, and it was really cool. He made boom bang boom bombing noises.

Flash forward to last week. He started going on about how great the tax cuts were. Said he'd gotten a child tax credit for $1200.

I told him he has the Democrats to thank for that. He really didn't know. Jesus, the Republicans get credit for EVERYTHING.

But ray of hope, he was calling Ashcroft a Nazi and said he has to go. And he joined me and another guy as we made fun of Bush for being an idiot and he even volunteered how Bush can't pronounce nuclear.

Hopefully this is a good sign.
