Germany is introduced to Howard Dean.
The latest issue of the popular German illustrated magzine "Stern" has a feature on Howard Dean.

http://www.stern.de/politik/ausland/index.html?id=511591&nv=cp_L1_as

Er Will Amerika Umkremplen...."He Wants to Change Americas Ways" (or something like that).

The article is both in the print and online version. Dean is characterized as a "fire spitting neo populist" .

3. Its a more or less favorable article.
I had my ma translate it for me when i was visting this weekend. It pretty much recaptures whats been said here at DU..that Dean is getting alot of support by taking on Bush, and it even mentions the "Meet-Ups".

4. There were some positive articles about Dean
Edited on Sun Aug-24-03 05:23 PM by Kellanved
The "fire spitting neo populist" part is citing newsweek, the article gets better in the second half. .

Heck, we even have Dean meetups here.

Other Dean-Articles:
(Transcript from a federal News-show in the second PBS channel):
Präsident via Internet?

And by the leading weekly der Spiegel:
Bandenkrieg gegen Dr. Dean

Edit:

By the socialist Taz:
Abkehr von der politischen Mitte

By the conservative FAZ
Howard Dean, Internetstar

A piece by the liberal Frankfurter Rundschau:
Nach dem Vorbild der Baath-Partei

the local Fox-News equivalent (Edit: n-tv is CNN; N24 is Kirch (soon to be Saban) sorry):
"Feuer speiender Drachen" greift Bush an
>

a few regional papers:
Dean will Bush das Fürchten lehren
Ich kann Ideologen nicht ausstehen
Der Aufstieg des Mr. Nobody

Equal Time: one about Kucinich :

Auch Kucinich darf mal bloggen

PS:
"Er will Amerika umkrempeln" : "He wants to turn America inside out".

Edit repaired/ added links.

http://www.heise.de/tp/deutsch/html/result.xhtml?url=/tp/deutsch/inhalt/on/15263/1.html&words=Howard%20Dean
(also with an english issue http://www.heise.de/tp/english/default.html)
or Süddeutsche Zeitung (influent nationwide newspaper)

for those who are interested, there are some articles and news about him. if i could elect in the us, i think he would be my choice.
