U.S. Circuit Court Judge David S. Tatel (Appeals Court)
U.S. Circuit Court Judge José A. Cabranes (Appeals Court)
U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings (Florida)

they are not qualified to serve on the Supreme Court and their presence demeans the court greatly.

5. He was offered it wonce before and turned it down.
He was on c-span Booknotes about a month ago, and was asked why he turned it down. He said if he was a SC judge, he would have to keep his mouth shut in the media, and he just didn't want to do that.

18. No way Alcee Hastings is getting confirmed
He was impeached from his previous judgeship. Regardless of whether or not he was innocent or whether or not he'd make a good SC Justice, there's no way he'd get confirmed with that record.
