more rw bs on the olympics
A friend sent me a link a Phyl-ass Schlafly's column about "How Title IX is Holding US back in Athens." http://www.eagleforum.org/column/2004/aug04/04-08-25.html
I guess that's why US women have already won 33 medals (US women won 40 over the entire 2000 games).

Sometimes I wish I was a wingnut commentator so I could just make shit up.

2. I remember her from back when I was a young woman
and she said that women shouldn't have equal pay in the workplace, women shouldn't want to have careers, and women should stay home and care for their family.

I couldn't figure out how she could say that with a straight face when she was on the road nearly 100% of the time giving speeches, for very high fees, all across the country while she left her husband and children at home.

6. Well, she left her GAY son at home
so that made it ok. And she's since disowned him, I believe. The RWers are allowed to neglect the homos, you know.

/sarcasm (just in case someone didn't catch that)

3. Does that explain why so many women on foreign teams go to US Universities
?

Because Title IX is depriving them of the best opportunities and trainging and educations in the world? Oops. It's the opposite.

4. interesting
There is an almost identical debate going on in Germany. Complete BS, one has to take into account that the world doesn't stand still. Many countries unable to send world class athletes two decades are ago, are able to do so nowadays.

I'm especially angered by them using Jesse Owens. (your link, not the German debate)
