Does anyone else find the constant Randi Rhodes bashing annoying?

I mean I agree with the posters on almost anything, but something about the multitude of Randi bashing threads really annoys me.

You are right Mo, she always has the facts. Her personality can be abrasive at times, but she knows her stuff. Just listen when some freeper calls and tries to debate w/ her. She smacks them down big time.

I just read the post you were refering to. Not really "bashing" Randi. Just saying they're not huge fans.

That is one thing that drives me WILD about Randi's fans. Someone can't raise the slightest criticism of her show without the Randi Cavalry riding to the rescue.

She's not for everyone. Get used to it. The poster didn't say she was stupid or that she's wrong...just that she's not their favorite and that they like the other AAR shows better.

One DU'er once called Rhodes "a tool of the DLC." I certainly find Malloy to be a bit more radical than Rhodes.

But some of the hardcore Malloy fans here seem to resent Rhodes for something.

12. I love Randi and Malloy, but I am not to thrilled with Al

like this afternoon when he had the guy who heads the Gallop poll on. The Gallop people are republican shills and tilt there polls for * . Franken handled him with kid gloves and left him get away with a lot. It really made me angry. He also did that with Howard Fineman, when he asked him about the 7 minutes * sat in the classroom and didn't do anything. Fineman said he didn't see anything wrong with that. Randi would have torn a new *ss in him, for saying that, but Franken left him get away with it.

and she sure does that--except, of course, when she interviews someone. Her interviewees actually are able to speak a bit more than a Trappist monk.

13. I like Randi, Mike and Al for the different strengths they bring

to our party. The more voices we have the better and I can really set aside the things I find weak in them, because their strengths are so good and so outstanding.

But what's the point of complaining about her here? Why would anyone complain about any of the meager number of voices we have available to get our message out on the airwaves? She's on because she's commercially viable, people are listening and she's beating Rush in his own market.

Would they be happier to have her off and have Rush filling in her airtime?

Perhaps they want to get their favorite on-air personality in that time-slot...if so, then I wish they'd be honest and say it, otherwise it is just a dishonest attack on a person that I've come to admire on AAR.
