What if the woman was pregnant? This needs to be everywhere on the news, this epitomizes how civilized the Bush Regime is and what moral values they are endorsing! The RNC was an angry, disgraceful, embarrassing hate-fest, I'd be ashamed to endorse this party. First the Purple Heartless group mocking all VETS that has ever earned a Purple Heart and now a punk white boy kicking a young woman on TV, what a disgrace.

Let's refer to women we don't like, esp. Repug women, as bitches (and a few other choice slang words). And once we do that, we can call our own mothers bitches on this forum as well, as one DUer did several weeks ago.

Let's post cheesecake photos of Nancy Reagan in our sig lines, with her photoshopped head on someone else's body, which body is also smoking a cigarette. Never mind that such a photo has no political content or point to make. Or, hell, just cheesecake photos of whatever women we want. We don't even have to know their names -- just because it's so much fun to engage in the group sport of oogling women's bodies.

Further, let's call men who show cowardice, "pussies" and nickname them "Snatch." Or call them girly-men (so popular these days), because it's well-known by everyone in this society that being female is not just "not as good" but downright shameful, something no REAL human beings (aka: males) would ever aspire to.

And let's ALWAYS, ALWAYS bring up the fact that a very, very small percentage of adult men (as compared to women) can be victims of domestic violence and rape as well whenever those subjects come up, to make sure we divert attention from the epidemic of violence against women and how that keeps women oppressed, and of COURSE not forget to heavily promote the subject of false allegations of rape which certainly ranks so much higher in importance than the fact that most rapists etrators aren't ever even charged, let alone convicted, leaving them free to rape again.

If we do things like this, we can help create the kind of climate where it's NOT okay to kick women whose politics we don't like, even when they're down on the ground. A climate where it's NOT okay to refuse women any rights over their own bodies and reproductive capabilities. A climate where women are respected as contributing, valuable and EQUAL members of this society.

You dont walk into a crowd of the enemy - rile them up and then act suprised when they get violent. Now, that is not to excuse the anarchist or the repugs, but its just common sense. I would call a repug that walked out in our convention and started screaming stupid as well - and it wouldnt shock me in that case either to see people start to pound on them.

Thats like taunting a man's wife or child in front of him... it may be wrong for him to pound you in the ground, and it may be illegal, but you can generally bank on it happening - acting surprised is the last thing you should do.

Someone on a blog pointed out the woman he was kicking was in Secret Service custody--true. That means it was a fed crime--true.

It also probably would mean they would feel responsible to act if contacted massively. Monster deserves grief too.

I wrote to WABC/Channel 7 to see if they've followed the story up or know anything. Not expecting much of a response, but we need to keep this republican thuggery in check.
