Need some help from Union friendly Democrats in Scranton Pa area
In Clarks Summit Pa, the Abington Heights teachers are once again on strike because they have not had a new contract in years. There are students out picketing the teacher and all the news report are filled with local citizens saying how the teachers are ruining the school year for the kids etc....

I am just finishing a degree in education and I am hoping to get hired some time in the next year. So I can not go out in public support of the teachers at this time.

My proposal is this: Can we find someone who can go talk to those kids and get them to picket the school board instead of the teachers? Would a quick word with them asking if they think the teachers deserve a pay raise and if they deserve smaller class sizes, get them thinking about why the school board is being unfair? I think most kids will choose their teachers side over the side of the school board if given a bit of information.
Also there is a school board meeting tonight and it would be great if some democrats or other lefties showed up to argue for the teachers.
Do you know anyone in my area you can get this information out to?

Ches

3. I have family who live in the Abingtons, Ches
But they are not union. I'll see if they know of anyone though.

They send their kids to the local catholic school.

Good luck. :)
