A freeper e-mail. And my earnest replies (somewhat lengthy)
I received an e-mail from a friend at work who had gotten it in an attachment from a freeper type. He passed it on to me, and this vile, hateful woman had as her title: Which book to buy? The Titanic or My Life by Bill Clinton. As you can guess, there were all sorts of references to "going down" and "seamen" etc. So I wrote this brief reply:

At least Bill can write. And nothing has been more disastrous than the past three and a half years of deaths, deficits, and unemployment.

I know that Bush will try to write a book when he is out of office. Unfortunately, comics usually don't pass as good literature.

By the way, nice job sending this out now. I mean, the man just had quadruple bypass surgery. I'm sure that's giving you a big laugh.

In which she replied:

It's idiots like you that make me sick.

After all, if it wasn't for 8 years of Clinton, we wouldn't be in this mess with September 11 now would we?

I don't know how you got this e-mail, but it bothers me that people like you are educating our children.

Why should I care how Clinton's health is when he taught my children at a very early age about oral sex and getting away with lying, just because you are the president of the United States?

At least Bush's book would be truthful, and not full of lies that are in Mr. Clinton's book.

Do you pray for the leaders in our country? I certainly do, and I pray for Mr. Clinton every day, that he becomes a Christian and denounces everything he did while in the White House.

FYI, the unemployment rate is the same now as it was in November 1996, when Clinton won re-election.

Check out the news. Read the facts. Don't be a hypocrite. I am assuming you received this e-mail from a teacher I know at Rockwall, and I will be sure to let him know the kind of people he works with!

Sincerely,
xxxxxxxxx (aka freeper fool)

Okay, so now it's time for me to knock one out of the park. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed, but ready to fight!! Here is my response to the response:

Did I ever call you a name? So now I'm an idiot.

Did Mr. Bush read the PDB on August 6, 2001 saying essentially that we were going to be hit by terrorists in planes? Nope, he simply cleared more brush on his ranch while he continued to spend a month long vacation on his ranch (by the way, he has spent more time on vacation, 42%, than any president since Reagan).

Have you checked the deficit lately? Highest its ever been. How about the outsourcing of jobs? The middle class is eroding. This administration has lost more jobs since the Hoover administration.

Do you read, or do you take your talking points from Fox and Rush? What Bush has done has been far more damaging to our nation than a president having a tryst with an intern. We have over a 1000 dead in Iraq, and over a lie. What is it for? No evidence of Iraq doing 9/11. No wmds. Hmmmm.

Remember, it's "idiots" like me who voted with the majority in 2000. And speaking of hypocrisy, your child learning about oral sex from Clinton is laughable. What I find more disturbing is that you are more disturbed about that rather than the thousands who have died during the past 3 and a half years. And does a good Christian post such a vile and disgusting e-mail such as this? So much for the Republicans being the party of values.

There are more like me out there, pal. This is America, and I know how your president wants to eliminate free speech, but we will fight back. You let the teacher know, he doesn't care and I have a right to my own political opinions. He's a good friend, and he believes that all people have a right to their own beliefs. Oh, and if I were a teacher, I would never discuss my political beliefs with my students. By the way, I also believe in the separation of church and state. I would hate to guess what folks like you would do working in an educational system.

If you read Clinton's book, you would see that he is a practicing southern Baptist who as even a young boy donated money to Billy Graham's crusades. Saying he is not a Christian is so galling. All Christians sin, but I guess you forgot about that. You, and the Falwells and Robertsons of the world, are good at passing judgment on others. When it comes to hypocrisy, maybe you need to look in the mirror.

By the way, your e-mail was so "un-christian" like. And I found it distasteful. Maybe you need to check your morals. And again, I hope you enjoy this time of Clinton's illness, because if it weren't for him, you wouldn't have any object out there to spew your hatred. And I'm sure you're praying for Clinton. This e-mail certainly proves you have his best interests in your heart. And calling me an "idiot" was uncalled for. Please never e-mail me again.

Sincerely,
Ishoutandscream

Her reply - "Ditto." I think I shocked her. Nothing like this boils my blood more.

1. Spineless worm
Isn't it funny when freepers get their asses read, they crawl away with their tails between their legs.

Ditto? Nice pre-programed response.

2. Wonderful comeback!
I'm proud of you wherever you are! I think you need to go to work for Kerry to debate these "idiots" that talk for Bush! We need you.

9. Thanks. She really pushed my buttons
What really aggravates me that, here in Texas, many people believe that we all hate Clinton. I think she was rather shocked to find a response such as this.

3. Congratulations!
Excellent response! I think these people need to be challenged more--they've been defrauded so terribly and conned so completely by these assholes, and they need to be shaken up. I doubt if someone as close-minded as this fool will ever become aware of how bigoted and hateful they are, but it was well worth the try.

4. I love it when those idiots talk about "truth" and "facts"
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 02:30 PM by tandot
First of all, Republicans made sure that Clinton's affair was made into a public spectacle...aired on TV. If you don't want your children to learn about sex, maybe you should have censored what they are watching on TV.

I'd rather have a President who is a capable leader and takes care of us Americans, than an idiot who wants to play "war" President and gives a shit about how many soldiers get killed because of him, or how many Iraqi civilians get killed in an unnecessary war.

5. your punchline in the last paragraph is the one I use
I tell them they are being unchristian. If they ask me, I tell them why, otherwise I leave them with their bottom jaws on the floor and walk away.

I have no patientce with these hypocrites, and I am fresh out of tolerance. I refuse to tolerate anyone who wants me dead, simply because I don't agree with them.

6. Sounds like they plan on causing trouble:
"I am assuming you received this e-mail from a teacher I know at Rockwall, and I will be sure to let him know the kind of people he works with!"

Nice job, but I don't think you've heard the last from this freeper idiot. They could try to get you fired. It's happened before.

Her first e-mail was so profane. I think she would be embarrassed if some of her "Christian" friends saw it.

11. Heh.
Hope so. Again, nice job!
I can't seem to keep my cool when debating freepers, either in e-mails or real life. I think it's being face-to-face with someone so willingly stupid, it makes my blod boil.

8. Yes, let us know what happens.
I'm in the Rockwall Democrats. We could strike back through media and other channels if necessary. This crazy bitch might get a little scary to you or your friend.

PM me if you need to.

12. FS - see you at Golden Chicken in Royse City
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 02:48 PM by Ishoutandscream
I saw our congressional candidate speak at the center a couple of weeks ago. Were you there? I'm the handsome, balding guy with a goatee and beer gut. Okay, I'm not handsome, but the rest is true.

On edit: beer gut. If I were the beer guy, I'd be the most popular guy in the room.

16. Actually, the last meeting I had to miss...
because I was the one having the pro-choice party (I think Jeanine said she re-announced it but didn't get any more interested takers).

So she had Nickerson come speak again? I've met Jim. He's a nice guy.

And I missed the Golden Chick meeting because we went to the Texas Truth Convention that night. I promised our friend Gary Page (who's running in district 24) that we'd come out for some support.

Hopefully, I'll make this next meeting. I try to make it out every month, but had lots going on lately!

Next time I'll try to wear my nifty name badge that Richardo made me for the state convention next time so I'll be easy to recognize!

Julie is going to let me know the exact date. Nickerson, I believe, is a very strong candidate. It will be difficult to beat Hall, however.

That old bastard has been in there too long, and in our 85 % Repub district, he'll lock up the old timer Repubs AND Dems just because of who he is.

My friend (you'll meet her if you go to the meetings) recently got back from DC where they decided to try to see him. She said he's dumber than a box of rocks...no continuity to the conversation at all...

She: "Mr Hall, can I ask you about <issue that's important to me>?"

He: "Your daughter is so gosh-darned cute."

She: "Thank you, sir. But can I ask you about <that issue again>?"

He: "Well I'm glad you asked me about that issue. Because thats a really important issue. Would you like some coffee?"

She: "Argh!"

Hmmmm...maybe they postponed the Golden Chick. But I seem to recall it was on the same night as the Truth Conv.

Make sure to get on Jeanine's e-mail list if you aren't.

See ya soon!

19. You've got Ralph nailed
I have known him since 1976 when he was my (gulp) mom's divorce attorney. Wouldn't you know he didn't do us much good.

He still is a good ol boy. He does look great for an eighty year old. He told me about a year ago at the neighborhood Wal-mart that he still jogs. He also loves Bush, he called him "a good boy." Blew me away - "a good boy"!!!

10. Not getting how 8 years of Clinton
caused 9/11.

Tell the Creeper that Republicans shouldn't EVEN be looked at as an exemplary omnipotent force in the war on terr. Reagan and both Dumb Shrubs have made deals with terrorist groups and lied to the media about it.

14. you could pass this one to her, dare her to read it
http://forum.therandirhodesshow.com/index.php?act=ST&f=15&t=663

an excerpt:

"On 26 February 1993, a car loaded with 1,200 pounds of explosives blew up in a parking garage under the World Trade Center, killing six people and injuring about a thousand others. The blast did not, as its planners intended, bring down the towers — that was finally accomplished by flying two hijacked airliners into the twin towers on the morning of 11 September 2001.
Four followers of the Egyptian cleric Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman were captured, convicted of the World Trade Center bombing in March 1994, and sentenced to 240 years in prison each. The purported mastermind of the plot, Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, was captured in 1995, convicted of the bombing in November 1997, and also sentenced to 240 years in prison. One additional suspect fled the U.S. and is believed to be living in Baghdad."

She can read this:
Clinton's speech regarding his decision to strike al Qaeda
http://www.time.com/time/daily/special/asbombing/clintonwash.html

And the media calling it wag the dog:
http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1998/08/21/wag.the.dog/

Ask her way it was ok for the media to support the terrorists, and bin Laden, back then?

Ask her why it was ok to try to destroy a president (Clinton) who did his best keep us safe, and to bring the terrorist to justice when they did attack.

Ask her why it's suddenly not ok to criticize a president (Bush) who hasn't done crap to protect this country.

I just don't take this RW crap any more.

Unfortunately I don't get any more rw email any more. The few people who used to forward such crap to me quickly learned I would rebut with facts (from Snopes, DU, and Randi).

And that I wasn't afraid to click the "Reply All" button. Now that will really get you off their wacko mailings real quick. :D
