Rummy will be at NASCAR in Richmond tomorrow (will lead Pledge)

RICHMOND, Va. -- Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is scheduled to attend the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race set for this Saturday, September 11 at Richmond International Raceway, announced track president Doug Fritz today. Secretary Rumsfeld will lead the sold out crowd of 107,000 in the Pledge of Allegiance during pre-race ceremonies and meet with NASCAR drivers, teams and executives during his visit to the track.

The track is preparing a special pre-race ceremony for Saturday, which is Patriot Day. The schedule includes a rendition of "God Bless America" by Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan, the National Anthem by rising pop star Kylie Dean and a flyover featuring four F-16's from the 192nd Fighter Wing of the Virginia Air National Guard.
