Why they may and probably will win...
We just haven't gotten to the critical tipping point yet where most people wake up and realize what is going on around them. I think we may need a few more years of horror to finally tip...just my viewpoint. I love the book POWER VS. FORCE because the author talks a lot about how mental and emotional evolution occurs at such teeny, tiny increments that it often looks as though human will never climb out of the collective tar pits, but it does happen...

So, I am preparing just in case too many millions of ignorant, fearful and angry voters still worship their captors a la the Stockholm Syndrome, and vote for Bush and company again, despite their own best interests. There are still so many out there deep in denial, and I am not sure we can reach many of them in the short time we have left...

But by 2008, surely the masses will awaken...

1. There will never again be voting in America after this election if Bush
wins. Mark my words. Democracy is on the line this year. The Unpatriotic Act will destroy the Constitution, Bush will stack the Supreme Court with radical right wing zealots who will give carte blanc to ratify the Constitution. Once you start punching holes in the foundation of America, you have a weaker foundation, it will crumble. A nation will be divided and a house divided cannot stand. So I wouldn't worry too much about 2008, America will be gone and you will be hailing to King Bush and his dynasty, the throne will be 'handed' to Jeb, and so on and so on.

2. It may take them not having anyone left to blame...
They already run everything and the Democrats refuse to shout loudly that the Republicans run the whole entire thing and they're running it into the ground.

5. don't count on it-
the masses awakening by 2008, that is...

i thought that 4 years of raygun would do it...then 8 years.

in 2000, i knew that Gore was toast when he picked holy joe as his running mate, but i figured that 4 years of Bush would smack the sense into the populace.

i agree that things haven't gotten bad enough for enough people yet, and see a bush victory as almost inevitable...i just hope that 8 years will be enough, but history says otherwise.

6. Fuck the defeatist position and get outta my face with that shit
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 04:39 PM by noahmijo
You know what the reason would be if they won? people like you who take a defeatist position who just want to lay down and let those motherfuckers roll over you like a speedbump.

They win because they step up, even though they are crooks and liars, they step up while us good pacifist liberals lay down and whimper and I'm tired of that bullshit, THEY outta be the ones laying down begging forgiveness, begging that we don't string those fuckers up NOT US.

I'm not trying to flame you but you and anybody who wants to take your position needs to stop bitching and get the fuck out there and take the neighborhood take to the streets show them we aren't taking their shit anymore instead of lounging around here complaining and whining and moaning about how they're gonna win cause no one understands.

Well we'll make them fuckin understand by pointing out the facts and giving them scenarios, they , the people are already understanding when their son writes home to ask for $400 for decent body armor, they already understand when they can't afford health insurance, they already understand when they notice bread costs twice as it used to under Clinton, and they just got laid off for some guy from India, so don't give me this shit that nobody understands WE DO UNDERSTAND WE AREN'T GONNA FUCKING TAKE IT ANYMORE.

No offense meant, but this is the fact: either step up and help with the fight or go over to the other side and throw your hands up and tell them what a wimp you want to be and how you prefer to go without a fight because that's they want THEY LOVE people who take the defeatist position this is what they depend on.

WE'RE NOT LOSING THIS THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS OUTTA BE BEGGING FOR MERCY BY THE TIME WE ARE FINISHED WITH THEM AND THAT'S THAT NO OTHER POSITION IS ACCEPTABLE.

16. And in case anyone's asking "What are YOU doing Noah to help out?"
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 05:10 PM by noahmijo
Today nothing cause I'm working on a project and studying for a test. (22 and in college still) Last Sat I walked for Kerry and got burnt to hell doing so in the blazing sun I will be doing it again next Sat. I work with the Young Democrats every Tues and Thurs tabling to register voters, on Friday I with other Young Democrats stood on street corners waving signs informing everyone of Edwards' visit, I debated freepers who came to screw with us, also at school I proudly wear Kerry and Edwards buttons in the midst of freeper central which is the school of business where I attend classes, AND I DON'T BACK DOWN FOR ANY PUNK WHO WANTS TO START SHIT CONCERNING WHY KERRY IS BAD AND BUSH IS GOOD.

This is how we all must be, no more defeatist shit, victory is ours, they are afraid of us, they back down fast when we stand up, they are nothing but bullies and when confronted bullies will become the very victims that they are trying to make you out to be.

In a nation where time and time again over 2/3 REJECT the policies of the thuggish Republicans and their neo-con allies there is NO reason why these people should be K-mart managers and not the CEO of our nation.

I understand alot of you work far too many hours and have precious little time to do anything but maybe help convert your neighbors or family, but still if that's the case, that's all you can give, that's all that anyone who wants to win this fight asks, but certainly there is NEVER a reason to take a defeatist position. EVER.

23. Tell that to our candidate. And to the media.
I agree with you 1000% however, and although I sometimes get discouraged (polls, dirty tricks, etc.), I ain't giving in or giving up! I hope our candidate starts fighting as hard as his grass roots people are.

24. He is fighting hard but you don't see it unless you go to his
appearances.

The corporate media doesn't dare to show you the parts of his speeches where he's talking tough that is the problem.

Everybody knows that The Chimp puts his cronies first and could give a rat's ass about the rest of us. If the Chimp actually does win this time around, it will be barely, if it is even honest.

Wake Up and Smell the coffee, it ain't about Republicans, it's about this Bush Family against everyone else.

Oh, wait, South Carolina....aahhhhhh, you probably think the Chimp is going to usher in the second coming of Christ and will destroy all the wicked of the world...so, no use talking to you.

17. I agree, but not exactly for the reason you've stated ...
In the end, we have not adequately addressed the corporate propaganda machine. The psychological state of this nation is extremely fragile, and the mass media is being manipulated masterfully.

Alas, history shows that sooner or later this whole thing goes "POP!"

(Good book, by the way.)

19. We cannot allow the Bush Family to take this country from us again!!!!!
Why are you giving up so easily??? Just because the TV ads and the bought off "news reporters for Bush" are spewing their lies out there to gain more voters to their side..I do NOT believe anything that anyone says anymore!! it's ALL just one big BS party and Bushie-boy is running the whole show!!! Do you honestly think that most Americans want their freedoms taken away?? If so, keep backing down! Do you honestly think that most Americans want to keep having their children/grandchildren/brothers/sisters, etc. dying for NOTHING over in in IRAQ?? If so, keep backing down! Do you think that anyone wants to see the complete and utter destruction of our rights and freedoms through the sheer ignorance of Bush/Cheney and all of their bought off supporters, taking the constitution and shredding it down to what THEY want??? If so, keep backing down!! Oh my..I fear that there are far too many people out there who NEED to be hit in the back of their heads to wake them up to what is REALLY going on with what's left of this America I love!!! Until we take the message to them directly, they'll just sit back and allow this criminal and liar back into office for another 4 years!! That WILL be the end of what is left of America now!! We CANNOT allow this to continue!! We CANNOT allow this evil empire to "bully" its' way back into office!!! I for one, will NOT just sit back and watch this asshole take over the office to which he has no place or the mental ability to be in!!!!
WE HAVE GOT TO FIGHT THIS ALL THE WAY TO NOVEMBER!!! I plan on doing so..I'm in West Virginia and as you must know, ol' Bushie-Poo has been coming here selling his lies to the stupid/ignorant people who seem to make up at least 50% of the population!! They know that most people in this state were his loyal followers before and he's making sure that he has them again!! I have been seeing a change here though!! At a local parade on Labor Day, I saw MANY Kerry/Edwards supporters marching in that parade!! There was one (1) Bush/Cheney car that went through and received MANY BOO's from people around me..I do believe that this idiot will have to fight for this state this time around..It is one of those so-called "swing states" and if i can help it, I'll do my best to swing the votes to the Kerry's side and AWAY from that CROOK!!!!
