Don’t ask me how anyone so filled with hatred and contempt for those of differing opinions could manage to live a normal life in this country. Don’t ask me why she persists in staying in this country.

Those who responded to her volcanic fount of vitriol are just as bad, if not worse. She and they are incapable of allowing that they might be wrong and others right, purely as a matter of knowledge and understanding. It’s all about motives to them. The lot of them are straight out of my earlier screed of today. Do you suppose any of them would recognize themselves in it?

If anything could prove the importance of always going by your right name when expressing your opinions, this would be it. If any of the DU posters had to entertain the possibility of facing the people they’ve just slandered, do you suppose they would have written what they did? I know, I know; such persons never wander far from Midtown, anyway. But the principle is what counts.

Joanne98, whoever and wherever you are, I pity you. I pity the depth of your self-absorption, the darkness of your mind, the narrowness of your knowledge, and your certainty that anyone who disagrees with you must be evil. I hope you recover someday. For the present, I’m glad I don’t know you personally. You should be glad too, because an introduction would undoubtedly end very badly for at least one of us.

First of all, I don't have time to lurk on Rightwing sites. Any Repuke lurker here is looking to start trouble BECAUSE - he or she has WAY too much time to actually live a constructive life.

This guy was looking for fodder for his blog. Joanne, he found a thread he could attack and he was grateful. Instead of posting the truth - like how big the deficit has grown or how many babies were killed this week in Iraq ( wonder why so-called Pro-Life folks never want to hear about dead Iraqi babies? Ever wonder that yourself? Hmmmmmm?)or that 1000 brave US Soldiers are now dead and their mothers are grieving, he posts this feigned outrage at you.

It's like the Bush spokeswoman today talking about the "new low" in the campaign (Bush's AWOL Papers). No, Dear Repug, you guys achieved that when you chose to focus on Clinton's pee-pee rather than Osama Bin Laden lo those years ago. THAT was the low point of this country.

He reminds me of this horrible bitter closet queen I used to work with who couldn't go five seconds without making a horrible nasty remark about someone. He was also a "Christian" but you sure as hell wouldn't know it by the bile that spewed from his mouth. The sad part was that half the guys we worked with were gay and most of us were super liberal artists, so if he'd just come out he would've had lots of support. I think if he had just accepted himself he would've been a much nicer, happier person. Instead he lived in his little world of self-loathing and guilt, and he took out his bitterness on everyone around him. Ironic too, because if he HAD come out, his yucky sanctimonious born-again friends would've turned on him in a heartbeat and all of us supposedly horrible liberals would've extended our hands in support.

Anyway, I took one look at our friend from Eternity Road and got the same exact vibe. Same self-righteousness, same fear, same twisted take on Christianity where it's okay to tear others down and even threaten them, same ignorance about themselves and the world. It's sad. He's going die bitter and alone. It's even sadder that he uses his little website to spew his bile on others.

The "introduction going very badly" somehow puts me in mind of Christopher Guest stomping off in a huff. "I just...HATE you, and I hate your ASS FACE!"
