anyone else kinda nervous about post-vacation?
maybe I'm paranoid (yeah, right) but I can't help but be edgy about what they have up their sleeves to drop after aWol's vacation.

Too, remeber the "roll out a new product" quote last year.

Look at what happened after his 1st and 2nd August at Compound W.
And his numbers, iraq, economy, etc etc are bad - just like Aug 01.

Anyone wanna talk me down from the ledge?

:scared:

1. Go ahead, just jump.
Sorry, I really wish I could help but I am very confident there are nothing but nasty things in store for us. I am afraid that we are totally fucked. Whew! Maybe someone else will talk both of us down.

5. I'm afraid I agree that LIHOP #2 is in the works
The question is, do they have the cojones to pull it off? Remember, LIHOP #2 could very easily backfire on them, so unless they are ready to go full-on Hitler (roundups, arrests, intimidation and Freepers-gone-hogwild) I'm not sure even they'd dare.

NOTE: I don't think they'll be ready to go full-on Hitler until the reign of Emperor Jeb at least. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but that's what I think. Of course, time runs out for us all during the reign of the Mad George P. Caligula.

6. Considering W's re-installation campaign will begin
in earnest, I think we all have plenty to be nervous about. The only question is who will bear the brunt of the attack. Will it be a physical attack on innocent citizens like 9/11? Or just a smear campaign directed at a candidate or candidates? Whatever it is, I'm sure we'll be shocked and awed right on schedule.

8. I've thought that through
And I don't think they could do much of anything more out of line than that which they have done in the past. Bush's main goal is try to appeal to the middle again (no way "compassion" will work) and ease into the election... how he accomplishes that will be satirical.

What is humorous is the right holds the power in most of America and things are so near record awful under their regime. Do you think people notice? I think they are starting to make the connection!

9. I'm figuring a "dirty bomb" attack on a major metropolitan area
Possibly in California before the recall election.

Then Dubya can shake his head on national television and say, "we just waited too long to go after Saddam." and the Sheeple will eat it up and believe everything and come to understand that those ten amendments in the Bill of Rights aren't as important as being secure and not being killed by the terraists.

11. damn right i'm nervous
dropping poll numbers, restless press, soldiers dying... it's time for another trifecta. the only thing that keeps me closer to the window than the edge is that i think there would be a huge outcry this time; post patriot act, post implementation of the fatherland... er, uh, homeland security dept. there are still quite a few blind, stupid amurkans, but i think much of the sleeping populace has started to sit up and rub their eyes.

12. The Election Cycle had officially begun.
Smirky McWhistleAss is about to return from va-cay, only to enter the re-election fray. I'm concerned that some craziness is in store, but at the same time I'm convinced that he might cool it a bit and appeal to the re-election base.

Who knows what Rove has up his sleeves? We'll find out soon, and it could be ugly, but given the fact that they're losing the war issue, I really doubt they'll march down that road again. Repubs don't like to fail twice.

Nervous, but glad the Election Season is upon us,
Jennifer :-)

13. I've been concerned about the flurry of new bills they
have been amassing. Medicare drugs, social security privatization, energy deregulation, ANWAR and deforestation will all be rammed down our throats. Strap yourselves in folks.

14. can't help but think it will be
a big (lie) announcement along with a lot of BS about WMD being found and why they were unable to find them for so long. Probably something to do with Iran or Syria has been hiding them all this time. This would be a great thing to start off the most expensive campaign in our history.

17. great responses, folks!
It sure helps to have others around to air these thoughts and fears to.
Don't know'bout you but I know MY partner and pals get sick of hearing me.

The multiple scared emoticons on the ledge cracked me up!

Daniel Schorr brought up the Andy Card " from a marketing point you don't roll out a new product in August" line.

There was also a big story about houw much all this bs in Iraq is costing, how we are going to strongarm other countries into contributing but won't be clear on how much.

Isn't that extortion?

Isn't using our tax money to pay the huge bills generated by Halliburton et al. embezzlement?

I think we are in for all sorts of shenanigans.

Can we "send an S.O.S to the world"?
