Now, normally I don't pay any attention to email chains like this one, but man, I like this one:
The pro-gun rights Web site KeepAndBearArms.com regularly polls site visitors about gun-related matters. In early June they asked this question, which over 2,000 visitors voted on:
"What do you think of this politician? (1) He supported a seven-day waiting period for handgun purchases. (2) He called the Brady Bill "just plain common sense." (3) He said "I support the Brady Bill and I urge the Congress to enact it without further delay." (4) He endorsed the federal government mandating "local law enforcement officials to conduct background checks on those who wish to buy a handgun." (5) He signed into law an edict "prohibiting the carrying of firearms on one's person or in a vehicle, in any public place or on any public street." (6) He executed an "administrative ban" on importation of shotguns that can hold more than 10 rounds, which later became codified into law." Voters chose from four possible answers. The results: * "He's a traitor usurping power at the expense of our rights."(75.3%) * "He's misguided -- such laws only harass the law-abiding."(20.4%) * "He's correct -- we need laws like these."(2.3%) * "He's the best politician in my lifetime."(2.0%)" The president in question, of course, was none other than the right wing's poster boy Ronald Reagan.
