6. he's supposed to have been Bob Dole's senior advisor
or chief of staff or something like that. I guess that could make him a little credible, but I can't find out anything else about him, other than that he wrote some books about Dole.

His claims in this interview are really over the top even for MIHOP folks; well maybe not over the top because he manages to bring up just about every piece of MIHOP folklore that's out there -- the over the top part is that he says he has evidence. Well why sit on it? Just because you say you want it examined in a court of law doesn't mean you couldn't reveal it beforehand does it?

Anyone know anything else about this guy?

7. I'm a MIHOPer, but I have reservations about Hilton.
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 12:18 PM by Minstrel Boy
He's made fantastic claims, and I haven't seen him produce one scrap of evidence.

Mike Ruppert's claims, on the other hand, are supported by evidence. (For an example, read this chapter of his soon to be released book, Crossing the Rubicon.)

We have to be wary of possible false friends, who help perpetuate the cover-up by both spreading disinformation and by making a mockery of our argument by presenting a shoddy and unsupported case. I'm not saying that's what Hilton is. I'm just saying I'm not hitching my wagon to his lawsuit until I see his evidence.

12. Thanks for the Rubicon link, Minstrel Boy!
I'm bookmarking it to read later. Do you know what the release date is for Crossing the Rubicon? I just watched the video of his speech at Portland State University in November of 2001 and was blown away. Anything more I can read that he wrote, the better!

13. I think it's expected early October.
The more I read Ruppert, the more I'm impressed. His recent speech to the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco was powerful.

Hilton talks a good game, but I'm reserving judgement until I see some of his evidence.

14. thanks for the link mb
I'll have to say I'm fence-sitting at best as a reluctant lihoper. More like I believe in "let it happen due to demonstrable hubris, unaceptable incomptence, and unwavering arrogance" but that's hardly a good acronym!

My distaste for * and co. doesn't require me to believe that they are guilty in this extreme a fashion. It just doesn't need that huge a crime to be prove *'s obvious faults.

And maybe I'm a victim of believing that no American could be complicit. Those are my personal blinders. I don't want to believe it could be possible. I can't even conceive it.

Nevertheless, I'm increasingly frustrated and even outraged that there's not enough (any) scrutiny of undeniable difficulties with the standard explanation of 9/11 events. There's not even the trace of any MSM coverage of the most commonly held views of the difficulties with the standard explanation. It seems enough to only invoke the "conspiracy" word to derail even the most basic questions -- even to just merely explain them according to the standard explanation. They won't even do that.

And, thank you for providing a link to something more substantial. The last thing any of us need is more kooks that interfere with the legitimate process of continued questioning.

21. Thanks for your skepticism Minstrel Boy. I did some checking yesterday
on Stone and came up with his ties to Bob Dole plus Indian Gaming. Given that Hilton's biggest credibility seems to be serving as Dole's Chief of Staff makes him very suspect, along with his breathless second interview which was posted here on DU having Hilton sound like a nut case even to a LIHOP believer like myself.

Is he out there to provide such disinformation that no credible information about 9/11 will not be called "conspiracy tinfoil?"

When Ron Motley's legitimate 9/11 investigation of the Saudi's comes through, will everyone lump it in with Hilton's speculation and discount what it terns up even if there are indictments?

And, Bob Dole's $8,000 a week his "assistant" withdraws from Riggs bank is enough to make anyone wonder what his connections are and with whom.
:eyes: Just because he's beloved as a former Senator doesn't mean he isn't involved with the BFEE all the way.

22. In stories far less explosive than 9/11 disinfo is a real danger,
so we need to be careful about who we champion. Especially someone who talks a good game but hasn't, so far as I've seen, supplied a single piece of evidence.

8. he was a Dole aide for 2 years, 1979-1980
and has written some attack books on Dole (who deserves them) and a book on how to get out of credit card debt. I'm not sure working for a Senator a quarter century ago makes him that knowledgable an "insider."

the way they introduced him it sounded like he was Bob Dole's right hand man (sorry for the bad pun) recently and for a long time.

it's an old tactic. You see it a LOT on the right. If you look at the so-called "Clinton death list" (that's been throughly debunked) they immediately promote anybody with even the slightest tie to Clinton into someone with major connections. In this case they made a guy who was briefly an aide to Dole a long time ago into some recent Congressional power.

3. He needs to provide proof
Yes, if an attack DOES happen, then he appears correct. However, Hilton keeps throwing things to Democrats that sound suspiciously like things we'd hear on late night "UFO junkie" radio shows.

We can't keep chasing phantoms, we need documentation. He always says he has it...but we never see it.

premise. It is so unfathonable, it is hard to comprehend, much less buy into. On the otherhand, there is a tiny part of me that worries that it might well be true. While I try not to buy into bizarre conspiracy theories, like many Americans, I've not been averse to considering all manners of JFK assasination theory at one point or another and I truly believe there is something big and true out there... For this reason, I don't consider myself to be blindly naive.

With respect to 911 MIHO, LIHOP theory, especially this being advanced by Hilton, I'd dearly love to have a semi-private one-on-one with Kristen Breitweiser to discuss her views on all this.

So Dole's chief of staff suddenly turns into a MIHOPer? Christ, you guys need to at least read some books on the "Mighty Wurlitzer." If anything the BFEE hopes this gets a TON of play--they're covering up incompetence. not murder. And having some loyal soldier run around like a crazy man is a great way to do it.

He knows Wolfie and Rummy personally? He got to be the chief of staff of the GOP's most loyal hatechet man and dirty pool player?
And you guys think he's not on their side?
