the press looks bad, Rather looks bad. Where did this stuff come from ? These memo's ?

What if...(~~dreaming with a grin~~) because of the pressure being brought on the press and CBS because of this it uncovers something insidious.

This situation may very well work to our benefit. I'm sitting tight and not panicking because I think that this may be a gift in disguise. If all that comes out of it is that the press is under new pressure to report the truth for a change.

I'm convinced Rove is behind these memo's and CBS is going to have to investigate the origin to clear their name. It's too easy. Why the hell did CBS use these memo's for a 60 minutes piece without investigating ? Why Why Why ????

This isn't the end of it. And as for Kerry being drowned out because of the flap, they may be true but we are still talking about Bush going AWOL and his lies. Not focusing on Bush and 9/11 and terror either.

I'm withholding my dismay over this revealation until CBS figures out how they were duped. 60 minutes has pretty much always been a respectable investigative repoting program, it's been on forever, people depend on it for stories like Bush going AWOL. I can't believe they are going to allow their reputations to be ruined over this.

They should have waited till after the election to annouce it.
