Is Bush Unhinged?
This was written 6 months ago, but seems to me to be getting more true everyday

"It is disconcerting for me to listen to the president’s speeches. I get the unsettling feeling that the man inhabits another world in which things are the exact opposite of how they seem to me. Of course, I may be the one whose perspective is askew. Unlike Bush, I cannot claim that the Almighty has licensed my position. Yet I fear that time will tell in favor of my view of the matter—a view shared, of course, by most people on the planet, indeed, by nearly everybody who has not been bribed, intimidated, or blinded by partisan loyalty to the Bush administration. For now, this difference of views might seem to be nothing more than that—just one man’s opinion jousting with another’s—but reality has a way of passing definite judgment, and I will not be surprised if Bush’s pronouncements ultimately come to be seen as having no more substance than a bad dream."

1. Bush is a bad dream and Kerry's the Wake Up Alarm
OK, not sure if I like that analogy, since I hate my alarm clock with a passion, but still . . .

3. Bush is unhinged, and I think the plan is to reveal this after election
and then Dick Cheney will be president.

If the president is incapable of holding office, as I think he is, it would be better to reveal this now, rather than after the election.

5. The entire right wing is loose screwed.
How else could you explain the venomous hatred of the Clinton's and the canonization of Saint Reagen. If your waiting for them to come to their senses soon forget about it. It ain't happening.

6. Most definitely unhinged
And getting worse.

I continue to believe that * is and has been completely and totally used by those who surround and advise him. I think that the information that he is provided with to make "decisions" is his only source of information.

I think that his view of reality is being affected by the use of drugs, most likely prescription medications. I see in postings here and elsewhere about it being an open secret that he is drinking alcohol again. I dearly wish that some one would go on the record about that. I think that it very likely that there are safeguards built in to Whitehouse protocol where any "unusual" orders from the chief executive will be probably run by Cheney/Rove.

I have said it in other postings; I would really like to know what the rules are for contacting b* during "after hours." I would bet that access to him is extremely limited after 7:00 or 8:00 at night because I think that whatever he uses to ease the stress from what he does during the day leaves him uhhh... let's say in a state that is difficult to reach.

8. Drug Testing
Aren't Federal Employees subjected to mandatory pre-employment and post-employment drug and alcohol testing? Why shouldn't Bush piss in a cup, too?

He has openly admitted to a "Drinking Problem" in the past. There are many documented cases where his "Drinking" impaired his judgment. It is our right to know if our President is partaking in activities that affects his judgment.

Too bad we don't have any reporters that point blank ask him if he is drinking again or using drugs (prescription or other).

I say pass him the cup. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

11. My dog looks like that
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 04:10 PM by Tangledog
...when he figures out that I'm going out in the truck and he isn't invited.

The difference is that my dog likes everybody, and doesn't start wars. The only similarity is that his sentence structure is a bit underdeveloped.

Come to think of it, the other difference is that Meriden has real human expression in his eyes, of sadness and longing, not confusion and self-pity.

Come to think of it, stuff the entire analogy. I don't want to compare my dog with *. See you later, DUers. Time to go for a nice walk!
