A Republican puts his money where his mouth is!
One of my guys is a Republican. He's also 20 years old. I don't know how they get ruined at such a young age.

About three weeks ago, a few of us liberal veterans at work were sitting at lunch talking about the war when this kid says something about how wonderful the war is going. To this our interim store manager--the guy who's the Bush-hating retired sergeant major; I told you about him--said "if you think the war's going so well, I'd be happy to drive you to the recruiter so you can find out firsthand."

On Tuesday, he told us he was leaving the company in October. "I joined the Army as a medic."

Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 11:03 PM by nadinbrzezinski
actually willing to walk the walk and talk the talk

I wonder, after he comes home, if he will still be a Republican,
or think war is that much glory and honor and all that crap

By the way, thank you for your service, and as a former Red Cross
Medic (Mexican) I hope they teach him the Geneva COnvention

By the way, being shot at is not all fun and games, I guess he will soon find that out for himself

8. Actually, I hope he goes to Korea
Korea sucks but at least you're fairly safe there. And there's lots of business for a medic in Korea--most of it being social diseases, but still.

No one needs to go to fucking Iraq, and the people there need to be pulled out.

5. I Worked with Sooo many right wing dickheads...
...who thought that bush & the war were wonderful (that is, until my economy turned the corner to the unemployment line 3 weeks ago) who had sooo many excuses why they couldn't possibly enlist and would never join the service.

I told them to brush up on their Arabic since they'd be drafted if moron stole a second term anyway.

6. Well, maybe his learning curve is still active.
I'm thinking it is, if he's going to be a medic.
