Could Paula Zahn be more obviously biased?
I'm sure this was discussed hours ago, but I'm watching the repeat late-night CNN feed.

She's now reporting on the Killian memos, commenting/editorializing "How could CBS get into such a mess?"

A short while ago, she referred to the MoveOn.org "Quagmire" ad, the one where a soldier is sinking in quicksand, as "disgusting."

Could her political leanings be more obvious to anyone??

1. Why, YES!

She could be more biased, but then she would have to change her
last name to Hannity.

2. I wonder how many times people here think - um, if she annoys you...
DON'T SUPPORT HER SHOW BY WATCHING HER

Management will get the picture at some point.

3. I know, but that's kinda unrealistic, isn't it?
I dunno. I'm watching less and less CNN for sure; I've canceled my Tivo Season Passes to Crossfire and Inside Politics, for example.

But when I come home from work and want a little update on the goings on within the world, I flip to CNN and find the ever-blonder Paula Zahn spewing wingnut talking points, and I can't help but run to DU to describe my experience.

I'm just sayin'. :-)

13. Cut out the middleman (woman) and go straight to LBN.
Skip CNN altogether.

And then do penance by phone banking and precinct walking, where you can talk other CNN watchers out of believing everything they hear on cable.

14. I already do the penance that you speak of...
Edited on Sat Sep-18-04 03:00 AM by VolcanoJen
... in fact, I phone bank and precinct walk every rare, spare moment I have. I've posted about my volunteer experiences pretty frequently here at DU. And, I'm an LBN Moderator, and agree with you that LBN is the best source of news on the internet.

Still, I'm not going to feel bad about watching CNN from time to time.

4. It's the hair thing.
Whenever I watch the multi-national-corporate whores, I always try to concentrate on superficial nonsense like their hair or jewelry.

That's how I watch these numb-nuts.

The Zahn DOES have a new dooo. Her brain underneath that wispy blondness is still a zero.

5. Ya know, I truly despise this nutbag Court TV gushing anchorwoman...
... who fills in for Larry King from time to time. What is her name? She's so... icky-sticky with her guests. Spewy. Opinionated. Unprofessional. Gets under my skin. And stuff.

Sigh... too much CNN for the night. It will never cease to boggle my mind, the way people like this woman score top-notch high-profile jobs like Larry King's gig.

7. that's the wrong blond
I think you're talking about Nancy Grace (?).

ACK! She's one hard haranguing ugly bitching blond, but she is not the fluffy FOX transplant. While they are both CNN Blond Babes, their hair is definitely different.

17. Yep,Nancy Grace...One of the most hate filled humans on Earth...
SBJ,how could ANYONE live with that woman? I totally convinced she hates men, just listen to her spiel for 5 minutes and you'll see. She spent a year trying to convince everyone in America that Gary Condit was a murderer, when in reality he was just trying to hide an affair.

She is one hate filled piece of crap IMO.

9. Report this to Media Matters
You can sign up as a media monitor on his site, mediamatters.org, and report instances of blatant right-wing bias when they occur. We all know what to expect from Fox, but that doesn't mean we should sit by and not document it.

10. Great tip, BlueScreen!
I'm an avid reader of Media Matters, and would be happy to pitch in.

I'm sure he's already received emails on it... my jaw was dropping, so I'm sure thousands more were!

Sending it off anyway... thanks for the advice!

12. She's a reptile. I call her "Eva Braun of CNN."
My cousin works at the international desk and he told his colleagues that I call her that. Some of the foreign staff have adopted this moniker for her... I wish I was a fly on the wall by the water cooler for a day. :D

15. She's been doing this for years...
Ever since she was on CBS and they replaced Kathleen Sullivan for being too outspoken and obviously intelligent and specifically picked Paula because they thought she fit their demo more, being a mother with a gaggle of brats and all.

According to Kitty, Old Man Bush has a hardon for her, which just fills me with comic horror...

The granddaughter of Eva Braun? She has that buzzard-like look to her eye that I've seen all-too-often before - we used to call 'em "ball-busters."

My ex-mother-in-law had that look. Her husband was a eunich at home ... and kept a mistress on the side for over 15 years (using embezzled money to do so). Good ol' Republican family values in Columbus, OH!
