Please spread this new definition as much as you can.

Thank you for your cooperation.

1. What a friend of mine says
"If a Democrat has a flush toilet, they'll call us an elitist."

2. who started that, anyway?
I first heard that on Fox News in November 2001, when I was laid up with a broken foot at my sister's house. I didn't have cable at home so it was my first exposure to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. (My sister is a rabid Repub.)

At first I thought they made a mistake and meant to say "effete". But no. Then I thought do they mean this ironically? Democrats aren't traditionally the party of country club memberships and Mercedes Benzes.

I now realize it is one of their techniques--projection--accusing the other guy of what you're guilty of first, but I still wonder how the term originated. I mean, it's so counter-intuitive.

(I went home after two weeks, blissfully, and finished recuperating in a non-Republican environment.)

4. I'm an ivory tower liberal myself!
I make less than $30K/year, I live in a small 2 br apartment with wife and 2 kids, but...

I have a bachelors degree , I speak a foreign language, multiracial family, and I do try to read and keep up with the issues (while filtering out the nonsensical circuses like Scott & Laci).

So yes, I guess I am a pointy-headed liberal elitist.

Can I have my free Volvo now?

5. this is the slogan from Limbaugh, the 30 million dollar man.
I think we need to fight this, not adopt the propaganda label.
