Poll question: IF these were the only three left on the island, which would you vote off?
In alphabetical order...

(Island = metaphor for Dem candidate in '04, of course)

Just curious. Nothing scientific about this poll. Feel free to elaborate on your reasons why if you want.

1. awwww sheesh!
how could I possibly know what has happened up to the point where these three were left? are you basing the question on what we know today?

As it stands, Dean would be voted off the island if those three were left. But, hey, it's entirely speculative ;-)

3. Could you include Ben Affleck as a choice to vote off?
He hasn't yet declared he wants to run for president, let alone what party he's affiliated with either.

7. Do they get voted off "the island"...
...to return to the United States to assume the Presidency?

Or are you talking about chucking one of them into the sea?

9. I voted to vote Kucinich off the island...
because he strikes me as temperamentally unsuited for the job and I disagree with some of his major positions. I remember hearing a quote re: Kucinich that it was nice for there to be a progressive candidate in the race, "but does he have to be from Mars?" While that was obviously an exaggeration, I do get the impression that DK's mind is in a bit of a strange place. The complete and rapid flip on abortion, the "Department of Peace", the prohibition on space mind-control weapons someone found in one of his bills, and just the general "vibe" that he gives off... Also, I'm pro-free-trade enough to object to him just as I object to Gephardt.

Clark, on the other hand, is one of my top two choices at this point (neck-and-neck with Kerry-- I think Kerry would make a somewhat better President and Clark a somewhat more electable candidate, but both would be pretty good in both fields). And while I'm not a huge Dean fan, he's fighting Edwards for fourth on my mental list after Kerry, Clark and Graham-- I'd pretty clearly prefer him to Gephardt, Lieberman, DK, Braun or Sharpton.

10. Now who would I prefer for president
would be a different question. But stuck on an island, I'll take Clark and you can have the other two. He's got great survival skills and he's the sexist of the bunch.
