Nice story in today's (Thu) Washington Times about Al Franken. What a good guy to have on our side!
Read the part about pathetic Bill O'Reilly who lies that he and FOX (which should be sooooo embarrassed) don't care it lost its suit concerning Fair and Blanaced. Yea, right.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A56418-2003Aug27.html

In the world according to Al Franken, Rupert Murdoch is "evil," Bill O'Reilly is "a right-wing blowhard of the schoolyard bully variety," Sean Hannity is "incredibly obnoxious," Paul Gigot defends Wall Street Journal editorials that are "mind-blowingly asinine," and mainstream media types are, well, a bunch of wimps who dance to the tune of these all-powerful conservatives.

1. Not a bad article - thanks.
...probably helped sell another 1000 books for Al.

I finished the book Tuesday - really enjoyed it, but the 'Chickenhawk' and the 'BJU' (Bob Jones U) chapters are skippable.

2. O'Reilly is psychotic
The view inside Fox News is that the suit -- which called Franken "shrill" and "unstable," among other choice adjectives -- was a public relations train wreck that embarrassed the network and boosted Franken's book, which is being rushed into stores to capitalize on the publicity. These sources say that top executives, including Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, argued against the suit, but that O'Reilly was so loudly adamant that the network went along to placate its prime-time star.

4. that's the only explanation that makes sense
as to why Faux would pursue such a frivolous (and self-defeating) suit.

A minor point--there is a difference between the Washington Times (neocon) and the Washington Post (formerly moderate-liberal, now becoming far too conservative; the late Katharine Graham must be spinning in her grave).

3. great read
And how does Bill O'Lielly respond to Al Franken, author of, "Lying Liars and the Lies They Tell?" With a lie, of course!

Referring to the fact that their ridiculous lawsuit was thrown out of court, he says, "It (the left's "vicious tactics") had to be exposed, and that's what that lawsuit did."

6. My favorite AF description of Hannity: He may be evil, but he's not smart.
Says it all. (But there's so much more...hahahahaha!)
