I watched this last night, and it's well worth your time! Frightening expose' of the controls that have been put in these debates that prevent candidates from making mistakes, and the public from ever really knowing the real candidate!

Sorry. Moyers is on again Fri 10/1, but I ccan't find the subject of that broadcast. No idea if it's a rerun of yesterday or not.

4. They matter very much!!!

They will give Kerry his only chance to say his piece without the TV media being able to edit and twist his words to suit Bush. Other than that they are totally phoney as "debates".

8. this won't be a true debate..it will be a staged, scripted event...agreed

upon by both parties...that was the topic of the NOW show this week.

I was looking forward to shrub being weed-whacked...but according to the contract they both must sign...it will be an "all holds barred" event, and they will have to play nice and get along.

When the League of Women Voters ran the debates, they were debates.

I bet shrub has an earpiece and someone giving him the answers.

9. I remember in 2000 - after W goofawed about the executed guy

and there were comments that it looked bad, in the next one they had a plant in the audience asking: "you didn't really laugh because you were happy to kill the guy, didn't you?" and W did his "compassionate" number.

10. Takes TWO weeks for show to hit video Archives

I only sawa part of it. My TV was giving me trouble and going out. I got the jist of it. It is a staged event and the chances of something unscripted to happen is none and none.After Bushit-41 screwed up it won't happen to Bushit 43
