1. Watching
I've never heard of her--she's very impressive! Great grasp of the issues and the ability to argue them tightly in call-in format. Liked her chiding of the wingnut caller who asked "Do you think you could ever bring yourself to say anything decent about the president?" Flanders responded that it's not a personal issue, that we're talking about public policy, that political debate is what this country was founded on.

3. did you hear
the caller that got in?

William Rivers Pitt and the speech he gave on c-span Dick Cheney/haliburton got a mention from a caller.... I wonder if that was an evil DU'er?

5. Yeah, that was cool!
Not cool was the dipshit who asked her if she'd blow Howard Dean.

2. Impressive
Knowledgeable and really cool under fire!

I think she filled in for Neil Conan on NPR once or twice, she was good there also. I'll have to tune in and catch her show.

btw...on another thread there were nominees for personalities on a new LIBERAL RADIO STATION in New York. Laura would be another good nominee.

4. Wasn't familiar with her
but she definitely is quite impressive -- calm, articulate, well-informed, nice voice. I think I'll be checking her out on Working Assets in the future.

10. She is Excellent! Never heard her before! We need her voice
everywhere. She manages to make her points while acknowledging the other persons point of view, so she disarms the venom of the Wingers who call in. What a refreshing style she has.
