BBV Question:

The LULAC Co-Chair of Texas Civil Rights Oversight Committee has asked me to send him info re:BBV. I would have just sent him to blackboxvoting.org, but the info there is so overwhelming, and i did not want to take a chance on turning him off.

What I am looking for is a time-line, touching the highlights from when Bev Harris found the files on the ftp site to current.

I figure if i can really whet his appetite...

3. What about the recent articles about the Hopkins/Rice study

If you go to google or some other search engine, type in "electronic voting" + "Johns Hopkins," all the articles that recently appeared in mainstream publications will pop up. They didn't go quite deep enough, in many cases, but perhaps having them come from more "acceptable" outlets will prevent anyone from suggesting that this a far-left whacko concern.
And many of the articles did have some good background, and you can always provide Bev Harris' link for deeper background, and regular updates on the process around the country.

4. yes, i was going to send that entire report...I was also hoping to find...

a simplified timeline that someone can quickly read and grasp the full import of the situation.

Lets face it: I have been following (I dont have the expertise to help) this from the beginning, and when i try to tell it to someone who hasn't, their eyes glaze over pretty quick. This fact may say more about my communication skills than anything, but i think it is real important to get this guy on board.
