What to expect in the debate
Edited on Mon Sep-27-04 04:01 AM by darknesstolight
Expect Bush to get everything he wants and he will get the last word. He will try and justify why he invaded Iraq and not Saudi Arabia. There are several inconstancies in this statement even though he has to much pride to switch his view/statement. The first inconsistencies were laid out in the 9-11 commission report and just in the week of the debate Tony Blair admitted there was faulty intelligence. Just this week Pakistan's Prime Minister stated it was no wise choice to invade Iraq. We have had bombings in the seven days leading to the debate. He will say the intelligence made him do what he has done setting him self up for reasons already given in this statement. He will try and be likable and consistent. But allot of his so called consistent statements have been proved to be lies which is his disadvantage. Bush will act like royalty not a democracy Kerry will not have a chance to question him. It will be scripted like a soap opera. He will and try and retain the women vote. I think Kerry will stick with fact not fantasy by saying it was his responsibility to credit his intelligence and the observable facts are Saudi Arabia was the most visible candidate for war. The Saud's have taken two positions them selves by chopping the heads off the first world trade bombers before interrogation could be done. The same with other detained actors of crimes of terrorism. This shows Bush is unrealistic and weak on terrorism. The patriot act has not stopped terrorism it has not stopped any attacks in Iraq it did not stop the anthrax killer by catching him. Why didn't Bush see it coming while he was on vacation when the first attempted Bombing occurred the first attempted bombing called the millennium bombing. This is when the attack of America was started. OK you mean to tell me at new years 2000 that terrorist tried to attack NYC and Bush did not beef up security? This shows his inability to connect the dots in NYC/Saudi Arabia. Kerry is going to have to pursued people that a new face would be better and a new start to get votes. I expect Bush to be consistent and try and be likable but his consistent statements have been discredited if he switches his position he would be guilty of what he calls Kerry. To make it clear Bush is in deep do do....

I expect Bush not to answer the questions and repeat certain statements he has rehearsed and switch the issue back to rehearsed statements. But Kerry has the upper hand by showing his agenda is false. I expect Foxx news and others who want to keep the new media rules to say Bush was consistent even though the truth will be he is evasive and repeats rehearsed lines....

1. From Bush: same shit, different smell
From Kerry: a stellar performance immediately belittled by corporate media.
