on what Articles will they try to Impeach President Kerry?
you know the sons o' bitches are right now drawing up articles of impeachment for John Kerry after he wins. here we let bush slide for 4 years over thousands of lies involving thousands of deaths, and after the screwing they gave Clinton over one tiny inconsequential lie.

of course, only repubs can impeach a president, but only a democratic one.

1. What about impeaching the Shrub??
Not sure about President Kerry, but if we win the House, can a former president be impeached? Now that would be SWEET!

2. Before Bush leaves office he will pardon
all his cronies before the fact.

5. I would love it if he did that.
There's no better way to admit you broke the law than to pardon yourself before you get caught. That would be a HUGE mistake, but I can totally see him trying it.

It would be like this line from "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back":

Security guard: "We have a 10-07 on our hands."
Ben Affleck: "Ha! That's bullshit because I wasn't even with a hooker today!"

7. I'm dead serious.
He'll try to make it impossible for the investigations into Plame, for example, to convict any of his chums.

8. So am I.
There's nothing he could do to make his cronies appear guilty more than pardoning them before the fact. Ensuring they won't get convicted will just confirm that there was something to convict them of in the first place.

11. Like father, like son...
"The worst pardons by Bush 41, as he likes to consider himself, were the ones that kept his very own behind out of prison. Just as special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh was about to prosecute Caspar Weinberger and others who could implicate Bush in the Iran Contra schemes, Bush pardoned them. Walsh believes without doubt that testimony from some of these people would have put the first George Bush in jail. You can’t get any sleazier than that."

3. I wouldn't say we've let Bush slide...
It's just that it's kind of hard to impeach a president, no matter how much he deserves it, when his party controls the entire government.

6. Using Clinton as a precedent
Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 12:44 PM by LibDemAlways
they'll impeach him over some inconsequential "misstatement" which they'll brand a lie. That's all you'll hear -- Kerry's a liar and needs to be impeached. I would expect Pres. Kerry to be impeached before the inaugural grandstands are removed. They certainly won't wait for a second term this time around.

13. Didn't Limbaugh spur the Vince Foster investigations?
The death of Foster was investigated like 5 or 6 times because of Limbaugh.

A few months back, this same Limp-balls implied that John Kerry had the late Sen. Heinz killed so he could marry Teresa...

So, how soon after a Kerry inaugeration does that investigation start?

9. They'll have to be quick about it
Kerry's a prosecutor. He's also the guy who investigated BCCI. He knows where some of the bodies are buried, and he knows how to find out more. They're gonna have to stage a pre-emptive strike, otherwise he'll have the drop on the lot of them.

10. Kerry will wait till he's sworn in then
open all kinds of investigations. The proof is in the filing cabinets and stuff marked top secret. Bush and co. will be out of office and charges can be brought against them with no one to pardon them.

12. If Kerry gets Eliot Spitzer as his Atty. General, we're going to see the
fur fly!!

The bush mafia, the halliburton clan, and the media (who are currently fighting for their lives trying to make sure bush wins), are going to get "smacked up-side the head" (as they say in the south), 'til they won't know what hit 'em!!

14. a thought on pardons
On another note regarding Presidential pradons...I remember after Ford pardoned Nixon that there was big stink as to whether Ford could actually do that. Not that he couldn't pardon Nixon, but that he did it prematurely. Nixon was facing impeachment, but he hadn't been found guilty of anything yet. So the logic was that Ford couldn't pardon Nixon be cause he hadn't been convicted. Seems to me there is some validity to this.

So if...excuse me...WHEN shrub and company get voted out. Shrub couldn't execute "re-emptive" pardons. Seems to me that this would also apply to shrub himself (you can't pardon yourself...Hello...
anyone remeber a thing called a monarchy like that and all??). So why couldn't shrub be brought up on charges after he is out of office?
