"God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!"
WASHINGTON - The Republican-controlled House emphatically defeated a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage Thursday, the latest in a string of conservative pet causes pushed to a vote by GOP leaders in the run-up to Election Day.

"God created Adam and Eve, He didn't create Adam and Steve," said Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Md.

As well as stupid. For me, I don't believe humans were simply created out of whole cloth (as it were) anyway. I no more believe in Adam and Eve than I do the Easter Bunny.

Yeah, God was busy killing folk in the Old Testament. It always pains me when I hear people say that God controls everything. God punishes and rewards people. He saves some and allows others to die or kills them. God causes storms, earthquakes, floods, volcano eruptions and only certain people that God deems worthy get to live. Peopl pray to God to win football games and other sporting events and wars. This God is a freak one, eh?

and then Adam and Eve had children, didn't their children have to have sex with each other in order to expand the race? So maybe they did or didn't practice homosexuality, but they sure must have practiced incest.
