2. Oh, that's just the freepers leaning on it
Last night was a truer reflection of the American populace. Freepers are probably hacking it - I've seen them do it at Yahoo, where pix of chimpy are suddenly ranked higher than 5.0

3. I don't think they are smart enough to hack
and if they can, it's by accident.

Our hackers are smarter than thier hackers.

5. i wouldn't count on that

both sides have talented techies, but a very, very large part of the "hacker" universe are gen-Xers like me. they lean strongly right-libertarian. they are very ignorant of history, about political parties and movements. they are quite ignorant, in fact, about almost everything, except computers. they are also very opinionated.

i know a number of them. thousands of baby grover norquists. they remember raking in the dough, once. and they still do just fine. they hate taxes, of any kind, more than anything else. they are strongly pro-capitalist, of the hands-off variety. they think ayn rand was a "philsopher." they favor bush, and other republicans and they always, likely, will.

6. Well, MSNBCs' Poll System Is Easy To...
manipulate. So much so that while the overall numbers may be inflated the outcome is probably correct.

4. Since "their boy" did so poorly, they have a "new policy"
They announced this morning that they will "declare no winner"....and when they did talk about the poll,, they went overboard about how it was a VERY UNSCIENTIFIC POLL.. :):):)
