AP Headline: Bush Wins the Election
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 04:53 PM by Dalvis
from Political Wire:

Earlier today, the AP pushed a story to it's affiliates with the headline "Bush wins election, Republicans keep House/Senate." The story appeared briefly on the WBAY-TV website before it was taken down.

The lead: "President Bush has won re-election as president by a 47 percent to 43 percent margin in the popular vote... Bush has won 324 electoral votes in 33 states. He is leading in 4 states for a total of 43 more electoral votes".
StopDemocrats.com has a screenshot of the story.

Does anyone else find this extremely suspicious?

But in this case it is not a person who dies but the country. I DO find it suspicious.

3. This is spooky. It gives me the creeps, just like in F 9/11
when they are interviewing Bush before the 2000 election & he arrogantly states, "Oh we'll win Florida." Makes me worry that the fix is in.

Is there any explanation for this? Have the Dems called them on it? Do you have anymore info?

5. there's no explanation I know of.....
....except the most obvious one. Thanks to BBV, the fix could be in. The Associated Press plays an integral part in calling these races. At this link CNN describes how they made election projections for this years primaries.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/primaries/pages/misc/project.html

notice AP's role in the projections. This is frightening.

...based on what we know about ABC, why is that suspicious?

At this point it should be expected behavior.

What's the Source: STOPDEMOCRATS.COM thing? AP may be a bunch of Bush whores, but I don't think they wrote this. It looks like it came from some wingnuts site and somehow found its way into the media. How I'm really not sure.

That's what I'm wondering. It says Associated Press on the bottom, but then it says Source: STOPDEMOCRATS.COM. I honestly don't know why this would appear on the WBAY website, but I'm really skeptical that this came from the Associated Press.

9. I used to work in the news biz, and I know they do testing of...
... the election news feeds in advance.

But that's primarliy a matter of feeding poll results in automatically. I never heard of testing written-out text in this way, when thy could have just written "this is a test this is a test".

Weird.

AP: Bush wins election, Republicans keep House/Senate
The AP earlier today accidentally posted an election story that claimed "President Bush has won re-election as president by a 47 percent to 43 percent margin in the popular vote" and Bush "has won 324 electoral votes in 33 states. He is leading in 4 states for a total of 43 more electoral votes". The Story, printed on ABC's Green Bay Wisconsin affiliate's website Wbay.com is apparently an Election day test that was accidentally place on the world wide web.
Update: The story had been posted on AP affiliate sites in Wisconsin, Delaware, Illinois, Arkansas, and Arizona.

========

This is on thier homepage now. I'm going to check the AP & see if I can find anything about it there.

That's Bizarro Bushbot who's First Lady is Barbobot. They have CHAINSAW hands. The VP is Sparkumus Primus and he rides on Bushbot's back. Bushbot likes to think he is actually Barbobot ... well that's another story.

A distortion in the time-space continuum is the cause of that news from their future. I feel bad for them there. Their adminstration is just brains in robot bodies and they will crush the humans after the election. That is, after they join forces with the evil Saddambot and Binladenbot.

Be glad we have an Administration that has human bodies with robot brains.

22. This is worthwhile read
This is from ecotalk.org (regarding the AP):

Those parties in a perfect position to commit election fraud include:

...voting machine company insiders, election officials, and any of the news media (such as the Associated Press-AP) that could receive a direct feed of vote data from voting machines or central computer 'vote tabulators' via 2-way wireless, modems, or other electronic means, and as a result, be in a position to manipulate vote data through the porous backdoors of voting machine software or firmware using programs such as GEMS http://www.blackboxvoting.org/access-diebold.htm. (See http://www.essvote.com/HTML/products/tabulation.html and http://www.diebold.com/dieboldes/GEMS.htm)

A few disturbing facts about the Associated Press (AP) which reports vote totals on Election Day:

* The AP.org is a not-for-profit news cooperative that has earned over $500 million annually for the past five years. Spokespeople for the AP have so far refused to release to this journalist full information on who are on its Board of Directors, how they are elected with over 16,000 "bond votes", who controls these votes, or how the AP receives vote tallies on Election Day.

* Burl Osborne is chairman of the AP board of directors and publisher emeritus of The Dallas Morning News, which endorsed Bush in 2000.
* Tom Curley is the AP's CEO and president and publisher of USA Today.
* Kathleen Carroll, senior vice president and executive editor of AP, was a reporter at The Dallas Morning News before joining AP in Dallas in 1978 (Carroll is also on the APME's 7-member executive committee)

* The Associated Press Managing Editors (APME.com) "works in partnership with AP to improve the wire service's performance".

* APME's president Stuart Wilk is also managing editor of the Dallas Morning News.

* APME's vice president Deanna Sands, is managing editor of the Omaha World Herald, a subsidiary of Omaha World Herald Company, owner of the nation's largest voting machine company, ES&S.

....the advise to GOP voters to cast absentee ballots, the Diebold guy promising Ohio to Bush....the Mn. Secretary of State switching rules in the middle of the game... florida with all its problems.

Call me Paranoid.
I am starting to think that the WHOLE GODDAMN ELECTION has been FIXED!
The FIX is in! Shit!

Do you ever WONDER if there is not a skullduggery crew going around the country -- they truly believe America needs that Godly President Bush at the helm -- that they are prepared to do ANYTHING to tilt the election outcome? I mean people so vile and vicious (and EXPERT) that they make Nixon's PLUMBERS look like hacks?

No, no, none of that could be true. It's just a paranoid fantasy. Please forget my rant. I must face the camera and apologize to Big Brother now.

I don't think Bednarik, Nader, & the Greens will collectively get 10% of the vote. This is just some reporter practicing to deliver the "instant" news they're paid to produce. I wouldn't worry about it. But the thought of Bush winning is pretty disturbing.

38. A regional TV station apologized for this.. said it's a "test"
It's a test that AP supposedly runs daily before the election, to 'make sure the numbers are getting out okay'. The apology went on to say that on any given day it might be Nader who won, or Kerry who won. That was their explanation, it was a test from AP.. and AP forgot to put "TEST" on it, so it was picked up and run on the station's website. I think it was "KBAY" or something like that.. it was posted late last night here.

It was really wierd, and I'm still not entirely sure, without AP showing me a previos test, that this was the case. Seems like a pretty stupid idea, IMHO, to test that way.
