Do you ever wonder why conservitaves believe they can solve

every problem in the world with a tax cut? Every election ,when all is said and done they all revert to this.And what is really scary is that voters buy it.The problems remain ,or even get worse and the republicans still peddle this horse shit.America listen up:Sometimes tax cuts are benefical,sometimes they hurt the economy,they are not a cure for the vast majority of the problems we face in the world today.

Money is more important than life.

Of course, every civilization for the past 10,000 years has imposed taxes on their citizens. I guess conservatives don't like civilization.

They really believe that if you have money good for you, you've earned it you wonderful capitalist champion and if you don't, you're a lazy bastard and you deserve to die in the gutter.

My response to that shit is why don't we try a "trickle up" approach--give the money *first* to the people who need it the most. Like the underemployed, the homeless, the sick, the elderly, kids (education). When they spend it it still ends up in the coffers of companies which provide goods or services of value.

Grover Norquist put it rather crudely: I just want to reduce government to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.

Conservatives want to eliminate government. I don't think the old "government is only good for defending the borders" thing goes either--look at Halliburton's private army. They want to eliminate government entirely, and let the "responsible private sector" (which is an oxymoron like jumbo shrimp or non-alcoholic beer) handle all of life's problems.

I like President Clinton's view: government can't do everything but there are some things it must do. Republicans don't see it that way--they don't want it around to do anything.

economists, regardless of political affiliations to offer a "non-politically affiliated" perspective of what the possibilities could be without the "tax-cut", ME, ME, MINE mentality of the electorate.

The sharing of the wealth should be paramount. The republicans betray everything that has to do with the foundations of historical economic policies. When the tax cuts only are distributed to the upper few per cent, who will not do anything more than find their best investment broker to tell them where to benefit most from their investments in "themselves", then the (R's) are betraying their foundation.
