So I guess Factcheck.org is OK to use now as a source? Minor Rant
I had some people here kicking my ass the other day over using Factcheck.org to debunk Bush. I was vehemently told that it was a Right Wing propaganda site, yet here we all are using them with the "I own a timber company?" quote.

I think some of you guys should make up your mind on where you stand with regard to sources. I still contend that Factcheck.org is a very unbiased site. Obviously, its unbiased enough for many others too. Interesting.

1. Factcheck.org is unbiased
sometimes our guys screw up and twist the truth a bit. I wish they wouldn't do that. That doesn't make factcheck.org a rightwing tool. On balance, the chimpministration is taken to the woodshed far more often then we are.

Cheney's string of crap and the $84 wood company just prove that these guys wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them across the face and samba'd up Pennsylvania Avenue.

2. There was some confusion awhile back
I believe some RNC hack said on TV that factcheck.org was an RNC anti-Kerry site. It was debunked quickly (by factcheck and by DUers).

4. While factcheck.com appears to have been
A link to George Soros's site, referred to by Dick Cheney during his debate. Lovely.

I think that story is a wonderful example of the importance to remember domain name endings. :P

5. Biased Right Wing Front Operations
Everyone knows that any organization that disputes anything John Kerry says is a fascist organization.

(The freepers aren't the only loonies on the net.)

10. Obviously, the website has merit, but
it can also be too literal.

I'm referring to the article which says it's never been proven that Dick Cheney helped Halliburton get it's no bid contract.

That article seems to demand unobtainable proof while rejecting commnon sense.
