God, John O'Neill (Swift Boat Liar) Is an Embittered, Nasty Old F***
I am watching the Kerry Biography and John O'Neill looks like a bloated, old pig.

Even now, he has that maniacal look in his eye.

Oh, and Bob "Phantom of the Opera" Dole chimes in with. "There are Purple Hearts, and then there are Purple Hearts."

I remember reading somewhere that, when Dole came home from his war, he was in a body cast and other soldiers had stubbed out their cigarette butts on his bodycast.

I guess that there are body casts, and there are ashtrays.

3. Fuck John O'Neill.
Don't watch any channel that shows him. Your viewership is their paycheck.

6. I think he is jealous
During the Cavett debate, Kerry had the "Dry Look" (anyone here old enough to remember those commercials), and O'Neill had the Brillantine look.

8. I saw the 'Born to Run' special too.
What made me mad if how fast they breezed over his heroism in 'Nam. He did bring a guy out of the Drink, didn't he? A special-ops guy. On the other hand, I realized that our candidate had even more admirable qualities that I knew about previously.

7. Yet Clinton and Gore and the rest of the Dem electorate
continue to treat Dole with such respect. Yet look how he continues to sneer at the Dem vets and heroes. Shameful.

10. He looked like a nerd when he was younger and going after Kerry
He was an angry young man back then. I just finished watching "Going Upriver" A very powerful movie, I'm glad I saw it.

12. Charles Colson hired the turd in an attempt to counteract Kerry.
With antiwar role, high visibility

By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff, 6/17/2003

April 28, 1971, 4:33 p.m. President Richard M. Nixon takes a call from his counsel, Charles Colson.

"This fellow Kerry that they had on last week," Colson tells the president, referring to a television appearance by John F. Kerry, a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

"Yeah," Nixon responds.

SNIP...

The tone was sneering. But the secretly recorded dialogue illustrates just how seriously Kerry was viewed by the Nixon White House. Some of these conversations have not been previously publicized, and Kerry said he had never heard them until they were provided by a reporter.

Day after day, according to the tapes and memos, Nixon aides worried that Kerry was a unique, charismatic leader who could undermine support for the war. Other veteran protesters were easier targets, with their long hair, their use of a Viet Cong flag, and in some cases, their calls for overthrowing the US government. Kerry, by contrast, was a neat, well-spoken, highly decorated veteran who seemed to be a clone of former President John F. Kennedy, right down to the military service on a patrol boat.

The White House feared him like no other protester

13. Kerry helped get the U.S. out of that illegal
immoral quagmire. Too bad the campaign staff or our 527s don't get that point across -- in a subtle way. Nearly all Americans now believe Vietnam was "the wrong war at the wrong time ..."

14. Great observations, venus!
The pros on the campaign staff must be aware that Sen. Kerry worked to end the illegal and immoral war when he returned. Yet the debate rhetoric is all about voting for wars -- they must get the message across that he will kill, kill, kill, kill, kill those terrorists. Gee. Whatever happened to just doing the right thing?
