Beaumont, Texas schools ban the showing of Fahrenheit 9/11 in HS

Can't have any critical thinking in some Texas schools...........

After one furious parent reacted to Michael Moore's politically charged film being shown at the district's alternative high school, the superintendent assured him, and other district parents who called with their concerns, that the one-sided movie had no place in the district.

"We don't need to be showing biased viewpoints in BISD," Thomas said.

Of course, Dr. Carrol Thomas, Jr. Superintendent of Beaumont schools once informed area clergy that prayer needed to return to public schools, and was sued by parents due to instituting a "clergy in schools program" where local pastors were invited to counsel students in the schools on school time.

however, I would offer "extra Credit" for those that watched and wrote a paragraph on how they viewed it
