Who do you think should be the first woman president?
I haven't read much about the female senators, representatives, or governors. But, of what I know, Nancy Pelosi seems to be an excellent choice. She is the only congresswoman I can remember who has stood up to Bush. I think she is smart enough and good enough to lead this country.

Any thoughts?

4. And isn't that sad.
When people talked Granholm the right wing was "BORN IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY!!!!!! YEEEEEARGH!!!!!" but now want to anoint Schwarzenegger. All the women I like including Pelosi are too "opinionated" for America. I don't think we will see it in the next couple decades.

6. This country seems to be reverting back to the 50's
I don't foresee any minorities or women (we're the majority btw) getting elected president any time soon if the country continues on this trend. I'm thinking it will take 20 years or longer. Hopefully, it happens much sooner.

7. Should be? I would vote for Sen. Clinton in a second, but...
if you are asking who is most likely to be, that is more difficult. I would not rule out a political career for Chelsea at some point in the future, and if I am still around, I would consider herbackground very strong and qualified.

8. Nancy Pelosi may be smart.....................
but she is way too nice.

Hillary Clinton has been battle-tested. She might not win election her first time out, but she'd give the repubs a HELLUVA run!

11. I think Sen. Mary Landrieu is impressing the heck out of a lot of folks
I definitely count her among the rising stars.

And I'm not at all convinced that Hillary is a non-starter -- she's a smart lady who has a heck of a lot more support around this country than the freepiots and dittoheads would have you believe.

:)

12. Hillary...
Can you imagine the right-wing rage? They hate smart women who don't kowtow. I would vote for her just for the freeper indignation alone. Half of them would need high blood pressure meds.

14. I don't think we'll see a woman
in the White House until I'm old and gray unfortunately, and I'm 32 now. I like Clinton and Landreau a lot though. It would be a blast to watch Clinton run too. The pugs would be incoherent with outrage lol.

20. I would vote for Hillary in a heartbeat.
Even over Big John. RIGHT NOW! If I were in a position to be granted a dying wish to meet and talk face to face with anyone, however, Nancy P absolutely tops my list.
