2. I have had this sentiment for a while now....
'The news programs and the polling companies need to make it look close to keep interest up which will result in tens of billions more dollars in ad revenue and demand for polling results.'

People who fear the right wing conspiracy of the news as a fascist danger (myself incuded in weak moments) need to realize they HAVE to keep the suspense up to keep the ads coming in. I do not believe it is as close as the media portrays it at all. I hope. :)

3. I have on occasion needed to cheer up family
for the exact same reasons. Reminding them of Zogby's view of the election usually does it.:)

I'm working on how to explain TIA's election model as well:)

I've been using that posters argument since 2003. Its just always seemed to me that it would be next to impossible for * to win the upcoming election.
